Yes have cleaned the contacts as well where the heads connect, and yes I do agree if this was a encoder error it would probably be on other colors as well. My hopes are it is just the encoder (fingers crossed) but not sure I think it may not be the case like you say.

Was my first thought now as well. I have cleaned that and will see if that fixes it, will let you know the results.

Honestly I had this issue about a year ago when printing a solid blue. Looked like yours ink starvation. I replaced the 2 head and all was good it could print and keep up no problem so I would definitely think it’s a couple of your heads.
