Right now I'm doing 500 4x4 squares. so i create the 1 design, then Step and Repeat it leaving a .1 space between each design.
I have it setup as 4x4" and then a .1 space and 4x4"
so there are 2 cuts between each square, is there an easy way to set it up so that there is just 1 cut between...
Thanks I'll try the speed thing...Phil from Summa also emailed me with some tips. Thanks Phil!
I was also thinking, i could contour cut the decals, then just perf cut a 1/8" circle around the contour cut if it comes down to it. so it will still be the shape they like, but the edges of the...
I have a brand new Summa D75
I have 300 3" circle decals to do. Printed on Oracal 3651 laminated with oragaurd 210
I've noticed that if i do a normal flexcut the circle isnt 100% perfect like if i were to do a standard contour cut. I have set my distances to .7/.2mm which has greatly helped...
So I bought a Mutoh printer a while back and have been using the FlexiSign & Print that came with it. I just so happened to have a graphtec CE6000, which i installed as a FC8600 and works fine.
I'm looking to upgrade to a Summa Plotter for perf cutting as I'm tired of cutting decals apart by...
I did same thing... i can now recreate the issue. if the overall print/cut area is too small it wont look for reg marks...ive never had this happen before cause i always print large quantities...tonight i just printed 14 small decals to test out printing on clear...if i do 21 decals it passes...
Flexi12
Created 3.05" circles 14 of them 2 rows of 7 spaced .125 apart.
select all, effect, contour cut set at -.02 or even .1 doesn't matter.
graphtec ce6000 (been using fc8600 driver)
it will just start cutting the circles not even look for the reg marks.
If if I create a new file...
thanks for the replys..trying to figure out where to change the heat and coming up short.... I seem to only have 1 option to change in 2 places...but not sure which one is the one thats dictates what it should be... also i see people talk about pre/platen/post and i only seem to be able to...
I'm having a small issue
using Oracal 3651RA in my Mutoh 628 and after it prints about 3ft or so, I'm getting a head strike in the middle of the print for 1-2 passes then its fine again no more issues.....not sure how to resolve this. the vinyl doesnt SEEM to be bunching up, but it must be if...
*edit, I see you said they will all do this which is awesome.
Thanks! I see that summa has several lines of cutters. Will they all do this or is there a specific model line that I need to look at. for example the CE series doesn't do perf cut for graphtech but the FC series does.
I will look...
I currently use a CE6000 and just do contour cutting of decals, then use a straight edge and knife to cut them into individual decals.
I feel like my time would be better used if I could have the plotter perf cut them for me. This would also allow me to nest my decals closer and save materials...
I've been doing cut vinyl for several years now and the CE6000 has been awesome.
I recently started doing printing and have been using the CE6000 to contour cut, then I cut the decals into individuals with a exacto and ruler.
I was thinking maybe I should upgrade to a FC8600 and just use perf...
