OK so here is my final conclusion, thanks to all who helped!!! I think the Arlon or Oracal would both work. Cast is the way to go for THIS particular installation. I called and talked to techs at Oracal and Arlon (just for my peace of mind, but was probably overkill as many of you were giving...

  9. Wrapping with calendered

OK well thank you. So far I called Arlon, and they said the same, do not use calendered for what I am doing. My whole issue started when I tried getting a less expensive solution then 3M, I know the stuff is great but, too costly and I believe the playing field is a little more leveled now. OK...

I was thinking of attaching the 1.5 x 1.5 mounting wood pieces running horizontally (like the picture) and I like the "L" brackets on the back so I do not have to drill into the front. So would the way to do this be going and attaching the wood mounting pieces and then just measuring the gap...

  16. Attaching sign to building...

OK so I talked to him and we are fine with all permits, etc... Here is a pic of a sign that is currently on the building. I want to make mine similar. Doing some research it looks like I may want to order a .25" wood sign with aluminum face? That is what Harbor was describing it. My initial idea...

  18. Attaching sign to building...

I was wondering if someone could tell me the best (right) way to attach an aluminum sign (3'x9') to a building with aluminum siding. I would imagine there are some type of brackets or spacers that go between the sign and the siding. I doubt I just screw into siding. Any help is appreciated...
