  1. Constant head strikes WTH!

looks like it's feeding crooked, from the back on side is tight, and the other side has lots of slack. I see some prints on the take up reel, was it used for this set? crooked media a lot of times is from how it's loaded, if one core end is in further than the other, the roll will be leaning...
  2. Using cleaning cartridges? Roland SP-540

turn off, fire up in service menu. service menu->ink menu->change in set->set it to what you have (MAX CMYK for example) hit enter, turn off, back into user mode. Thats assuming all the ink is still in the lines, and it hasn't started flushing. If it did, a powerful clean should get ink most...
  3. LEJ 640 white color not solid.

Adding to Pat's accuracy, a single pass of white on a UV machine, especially on something likes small text, should look like white out, not spilled milk. If your white is sad looking, especially compared to how it used to look. the ink may be sepearing, especially if you don't print white a lot...
  4. SP-540V Banding - Help pls

the the bias of the c/k head is off, and should be corrected. The banding at least in the image shown is almost only in the reddish part of the flowers, but not in the blue background, or blackish base. The magenta side of the head is missing a group of nozzles at the back of the head, so when...
  5. Roland Wiper Blades

hard to say, it's the same as a wipe, just going backwards.
  6. Roland Wiper Blades

it only uses the felt side during a "scrub", which is typically at the start of a powerful cleaning, where it scrubs twice. The the history menu->cleaning you can see how many scrubs it has performed, probably not many. The all rubber wipers, depending how they are made, can stand up longer...
  7. Soljet Test Print Help

cross the data cables on that head, see if the missing side changes to the other side. It might be easier to cross them on the print carriage board, if the cables on the head end don't have enough room for that.
  8. Versaworks error when starting

you have to manually update to 3.02, after that it should be able to auto-update to the most recent version. i'd link the file, but DGA's website is hooped at the moment. Should be support->your machine(or an SP series)->software and you should see the 3.02 update available
  9. SP300 and Windows 7

i set up an SP-300 on windows 7 and 10, but with the USB dongle for versaworks, so that aspect works at least.
  10. Soljet Test Print Help

the only places that can affect one side of a print head on that machine are cartridge, ink line, damper, manifold and head itself. the caps + pump would be shared with the other side, or with the pump its group neighbor. empty ink cartridge, broken ink bay needle, craked ink line, broken...
  11. Temperature too low?

Yes, they are directional. the contacts have a blue plastic cover on one side. all 4 of them should be facing the same direction.
  12. adobe premiere pro

Just as a secondary diagnosis, http://hcidesign.com/memtest/ Try this, set it to 1024MB and run, if you immediately start getting more than 0 errors that'd explain a lot. just to further isolate, i'd imagine your motherboard has video out on it, you could yank out the video cards, and try...
  13. Roland print head trouble

bad seal on the damper or cap. I usually replace dampers with a head if they haven't been already replaced within the last year or so.
  14. sp300v fan

The one setting is in the user menu, from 0-100% and an auto setting. The second is in versaworks, under printer controls, there is an option for the vacuum settings, a drop menu with a few options, strong being one of them. The fan itself can get plugged up with lint and dust making kind of a...
  15. Soljet Test Print Help

That is pretty odd for it to fire the second pass so differently than the first. First up, that light cyan. One side not firing at all is either an empty ink cartridge that isn't beeping at you, or a popped seal on a damper. A less likely 3rd possibility is an ink line or connector on the ink...

  17. 2200 hours.... Is that a lot

I can't remember replacing the scan motor on your pro 3. It's not only the motor that makes the noise, the bearings add some, and the belt meshing into the pulleys adds some too. the bearings can be oiled with 3-in-1 and the belt can be cleaned and greased a bit.
  18. Temperature too low?

every head has a thermostat on it, but it only uses the measurement from the black head. If the connection is incomplete from a bad cable, or broken head or board, it wont get a value for temperature, and probably give you that error.
  19. Color matching

in the job settings, under file format, you'll see any roland colours you've selected in the window, a a "convert spot colours" button. make sure that convert is checked, and that you can see your colours in the window. Also when you print the chart, it uses the default profile for queue a, so...
  20. 2200 hours.... Is that a lot

the scan motors are rated for 1200-1500 hours ( i forget which one), the scan motor may have been changed and the timer not reset. If it screams like a banshee while printing it's probably the original. 2200 hours would be a well used machine, not to say thats a bad thing.
