We're down to 4-5 hours as well. The FLW boat I did took 17hrs by my self, including the fenders. It was an installation only thing so trying to figure out all the pieces they gave me was a lot of work.
Nice job. Bass boats are a pain. We've done a few. Even did one for the FLW. We sponsor a guy in Lake Havasu as well. I've wrapped his boat a few times as the other (paying) sponsor changes. Once you get them down. There's good money it.
I always say design is free unless they have no idea what they want and I'm the one dreaming up the wrap. Then it's $480. (8hrs X $60ph). Once I tell them that, then they usually listen to what we're proposing to them. You gotta tell them, or let them know, in a polite way what works and that...
We always start out quoting $12-$15 (for design, print, install) but know after the "Can you do better then that" conversation we end up at $10+. The only time we go lower then that is if it's flat. I personally design very quick so I can design a basic wrap in about 2 hours. My background has...
Big giant pieces. Make a template and add on a bunch. Use cast. Glue ever area you think might possible need it. Edge seal the heck out of it. $850-$900
Make sure you use a cast material. Which is what was mentioned as the 3M recommendations above. Arlon's 3mil vinyl is calendared. Good cheap stuff, use it here like crazy for stickers and such. But for wrapping a car it's a big no no. If you're in love with Arlon use their 6000XRP and their 3220...
I'm not even sure this is the right place to ask this. It just says Dimensional Signs. I have customer interested in me getting him these puffy style stickers. I'm not even sure 'puffy' is the right term. They're soft to the touch, maybe 1/16-1/8 thick. What is this stuff? Who does them? Cost...
I'm digging this idea. Gunna start using it on Monday. I'm averaging anywhere from 2-3 quotes a day. (even had 14 one day) All rough estimates. And need to see the vehicle before giving them an accurate number. I like whole send me an email idea.
I'm in the IE (Fontana) because I do a TON of truck lettering. Have a large fleet account that pays for all it's own material, a full time employee to take care of just that account and it pays for the lease payment on all my equipment. Been this way going on 2 years. With easy another year to...
Ok. First off...this whole getting outbid thing has been discussed a bunch around here. But I got another one for ya. Guy calls me yesterday on my cell out of the clear blue. Got my number from another good friend of mine. How close these two are, no idea. Any way he asks me about wrapping a...
