What do you do when a customer comes in for a single 2"x4" printed sticker? The sticker has to be "drawn" (it's words printed on it, but they have to be a certain size).
How do you charge for it?
So, my sales rep at GSG tells me we need to match vinyl to laminate (brands) because it voids the warranty if you mix and match. But I have a situation with these vinyl that needs to be laminated. Is there validity in my sales reps claim? or does it matter?
Does the epson inkjet need lamination? I have a customer in my shop who has one and a bunch of prints. We aren't real sure if it needs lamination.
Any help would be appreciated.
So I saw in another thread something about flatbed laminators and I had questions.
1- Can you use it as a work table too? Or is it something that you want to only use when you are laminating or applying graphics onto things. Can you put a cutting pad on it to work with other items?
2- Can you...
We are printing graphics for a trailer. powerwash company. The background is black with transparent bubbles on it. The background pattern is a fill in corel. So we created our panels. Each panel is supposed to match up with the next panel, including the bubble fill from corel. It looks like it...
this is an unusual request from a customer. They want yard signs like real estate agents. The customer is a landscaper. They want the metal sign holder and then the aluminum sign to slide into the metal sign holder. and they want 20 of them. has anyone had a request for those before? It's new...
SO, I'm doing a run of stickers. 100 - 2inch round. I go to click on the multiple copies and it decides to print just 1 instead of 100..what is up with that?
Im curious. Does anyone use online vectorizing? is it like "trace bitmap" in corel? I have a complicated graphic that I don't want to have to redraw. and if i vectorize it in corel then I have to clean up a lot of the artwork.
I just changed out my printheads and I was doing a small print run to see that the colors are correct. When I ripped the run, I didn't change any settings but for some reason the print came out sideways. Any ideas on why?
Someone told me. So whoever it was say, "I TOLD YOU SO.".
- The other day I was printing and the guard that holds the substrate down lifted up a tiny bit, enough to snag a printhead and pull the magnetic strip off of it. Actually 2 printheads. I very quickly changed the 2 printheads out...
OH EMM GEEE. I got a customer that gave us clean artwork. But the graphic artist who created it, did a really crappy job with it. They created a hexagon out of rectangles instead of just drawing a hexagon. They layered the hexagon twice. so that when you pull apart the image there is a black...
On the printer there are 2 guards that will hold the media down while it's printing to prevent lifting up. I think they are a pain and usually have them moved out of the way. I've even removed one. I placed it back a while back.
I was printing a banner earlier and I had moved the guard back...
arlon 3170 is my favorite laminate. It's cast and it is thin and pretty inexpensive. We have noticed recently that the lamination seems to be separating from the vinyl. Does anyone have any insight as to why it's separating?
