TX800 does good for cheap head, obviously not as good as i3200, but three of those are like $3000 for the UV heads.

Looks like you just need to re-run the alignment mode, not uncommon for calibration to drift in those.

The printers are built from common parts, so not uncommon to see them being sold under dozens of brands. The hybrid flatbed/film printers are pretty new, not sure I am sold on them myself. Main thing is how many heads and the type it uses, will give you a good idea of print speed.

Playing at the shop with ours and only thing we could find to replicate the issue is un-levelling the bed a bit to torque the gantry geartrain a bit. [almost] Zero backlash system really likes things flat. JFX500 was definitely nicer with belts and encoders, far more tolerant. Happy to let...

Tech companies have a strange habit of opting people into the new features rather than asking people if they want to use them first.

The printing industry has so much dirty laundry, makes me glad I'm a free agent. Don't even have to get a tech drunk to hear the juicy details, the ink fumes work well for that.

Ad APIs have just gotten to be poison in a lot of ways. They used to be a set frame with boundaries, now they can essentially take the page over. Not much site operators can do about it, and it really depends on the ads being served at the time/for the session.

Hey, I've worked on of those 720s before. But to be fair this was like a year ago. The guy who owned that shop seemed content to run anything that was under 40 years old as long as he could keep enough tape on it to hold things together.

I think that ink is just used on the SWJ series printers, which use different heads. Good chance of compatibility on a DX7 solvent head, but I am not sure I would risk a new head on it.
