Thanks. I did look into that. Perhaps it is a free version that has been altered. I have some lower case letters that are not consistent to Times Sans. Sometimes they alter a font, change the name and then avoid the copyright issues

No issues on a Mac but I wish I could toggle off the zoom to selection feature. If you forget you have something selected and want to zoom in on something else it shoots over to that object A rather ho hum update with a couple of changes but nothing to get excited about

I see the issue now. I have workarounds but they are not the same as corel's solution

If I wanted to select the black squares here I would just drag and only touch those. To not select the outlined squares, just don't touch them.

Regarding contours... isn't that also one click in the pathfinder toolbox? Upper left called "unite" And can you explain further the marquee select issue? If you don't want to grab something then don't touch it? I have no issue grabbing any object separate from one another

the update itself is not automatic. It just downloads to your hard drive. It won't install without your consent. I have automatic downloads turned off.

Are you sure about that? I have saved many files with gradients and I always use EPS V8 or higher. Any lower and the gradients turn into stepped solid fills. My normal format to send out vectors is ai v8 if unsure of the end user's software but when I have saved as v8 EPS with a gradient I have...
