That's why I got 10 pre-installed when I bought it. I was a bit worried I might run into some compatatbility issues running onyx 19 on Windows 11. No need to switch to something if the previous one still serves it purpose just fine.
Went through and reset my cutter in Onyx and tested a the quick set that I had printed from to test just printing and did a print/cut and it worked fine. Just a damn hiccup it seemed. I had tested each individually but not with the print/cut all in one. It'll be nice to RIP on a faster system...
I'm trying to get my new workstation setup and running. However I'm running into an issue. I've imported all my media and quick sets to my new install my cutter is connected. When I try to print a job with a print and cut setup it just processes and then drops into the archive area and says...
I'm avoiding CM5 for the moment until until I learn more about it. You can always install an older version of Illustrator that will work with the CM4 plug-in.
Left is my current system I've been using for a few years. Right side is my new system I'm setting up. The "Manage Cutters" dialog is totally different and my Onyx versions are the same.
What would cause me to have two different dialogs in the "Manage Cutters" window? I know there were small updates for cutters that I had downloaded through their support site, but it's completely changed from last year. I only remember because I had to download a patch for my FC9000. Maybe the...
So I'm trying to setup my new system and getting everything configured. Seems as Onyx has removed all the downloads for patches/updates to cutters to this program and anything legacy. I know there was an update for the FC9000 because my cutter dialogs look completely different despite being on...
One reason why I'd buy a system like that directly from Dell. I've heard newegg doing some shady stuff with components and also they have 3rd party sellers so you have to be careful to see if newegg is actually shipping it or if it's coming from a 3rd party, like what amazon does.
As the subject line states. I'm looking for an alternative to Drytac polar chrome. I like the subtle metallic look of it but it's a bit pricey for the small product labels I'm using it for.
I really haven't found anything similar that I can use. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated.
I'm waiting on my new machine to come in. Tight on space here so I'm on a laptop, which one thing I noticed is most don't have ethernet ports. Does anyone use a USB to RJ45 adapter for the connections? Just curious how that works for people. have never used USB connection since I heard it's less...
I absolutely dislike the conversion because of the fact they are imperfect and virtually impossible to edit after. It's a quick fix IMO and only use it in a pinch.
I'm sure this has been beat like a dead horse, but has there been any advancement in raster to vector conversion software?
Last decent piece of software I remember is Vector Magic. Is this still the best option out there?
I find some of my customers need vector files but they have had them...
Hmm it's all one piece and contour cut. Almost a rectangle shape so maybe they'll be fine just like your saying. I just want to make sure they have a good experience with it and not frustrations.
I think I follow you on that. I'm going to be mailing this so I don't think I'll be able to add any rolled tape to the back, but I can definitely give them that as as suggestion when they want to install it.
Just trying to make it as easy for them as possible to apply this on their own.
I have a customer asking for a large wall print. 48" x 40". I'm not printing it as I don't do many large wall graphics and don't keep low tack material on hand. However They'll likely want application tape applied to the front for installation, which I'm not doing. Can I just use the 12"...
I don't, mainly stickers. Shouldn't be a problem. If you're looking for image quality, the Epson will treat you just fine. If you have a high volume you may want to look into the S80. It'll also give you wider color gamut for prints as it has some extra colors to help with that.
