  1. Crown Wave Aerial Man Lift & Trailer Package For Sale

As a small business, I have to try and determine when it's more of a benefit to keep something or to sell something. Although this is all a fairly recent acquisition and works flawlessly, I'm putting the entire package up for sale. It's just not seeing enough use to keep and take up valuable...

Yeah, it's definitely nice to get a visual. Congrats on 6 years and I agree with you. It amazes me what sign companies promise and fail to deliver on (schedules, product, etc). It's one of the things customers seem to appreciate the most - keep your word. It's a simple concept and one I do...

Precision Sign Services was officially started five years ago in October, 2011. I used the remainder of 2011 for talking to prospective customers, purchasing tools and supplies for installations and surveys and just kind of 'getting ready'. Now, over a thousand invoices and a thousand quotes...
  10. remove old letters & install new- questions

If done correctly, the glass won't get scratched. But there's always a risk. It's more likely to happen with tempered glass (which I would bet this is) due to possible particles in/on the glass from the manufacturer.
  11. remove old letters & install new- questions

A plastic scraper wont remove silicone from glass, unfortunately. Unless there's some solvent out there you can use it in conjunction with.
  12. remove old letters & install new- questions

There are likely going to be metal tabs/straps on the backs of the letters with tape and silicone. One challenge is removing the letter without scraping/damaging the glass. Another challenge is going to be removing the silicone from the glass once the letters are removed. I know there are...
  13. Calculating shear on flag mounted sign

I'd suggest contacting Sean MacFarland with MacFarland Engineering in Houston.
  14. Acrylic to stucco surface

The method of attachment & its construction/manufacturing needs to be handled by the manufacturer of the sign, not on you, in my opinion. A simple survey showing the height and pitch of the install area gives them what they need. With that size sign, I wouldn't feel comfortable unless it was...
  15. 90-minute massage is booked for Tuesday...

Here's the kicker (and a definite learning lesson): I started by installing the bottom row first. Prior to starting, I pulled a few signs out of their packaging to measure the width. All three signs measured right at 5-5/16" or 5-21/64". So I did all of my math based on 5-5/16" (see where this...

  17. Client Asked Me To Relocate Plastic Gemini Letters. ADVICE?

This is how I've always relocated letters. It's the easiest and most accurate way.
  18. ADA vs ABA regarding signs

Certificates of Occupancy are granted based on ADA (pertaining to signs). The ABA states: "The ADA applies to places of public accommodation, commercial facilities, and State and local government facilities. The ABA covers facilities designed, built, altered with Federal funds or leased by...
