  1. My new sign installation lift...

Sprinter vans don't fit in parking garages and getting in parking garages is a necessity.
  2. My new sign installation lift...

Had an opportunity to use this again yesterday. I covered so much ground, I got on Google Earth to figure out the distance I drove it and it was right at a mile. Installed eight parking lot ID signs and tobacco free signs. Battery meter barely showed any use (used one bar out of ten). Pretty...
  3. Wall graphics on Kilz....

No idea which Kilz it was. I should have asked the contractor...just didn't think of it (didn't realize there were that many varieties).
  4. Wall graphics on Kilz....

It's Oracals version of air egress. Had some spots that just would not stay down. Wall was painted with Kilz approximately 2 weeks ago.
  5. Projection/Wall mount signs

Depending on the wall material and finish, I'd see if they'd be ok with literally going through the wall and anchoring it to a wall stud. If it's painted drywall, it really wouldn't be a big deal to anchor the sign and then patch and paint the drywall.
  6. $1500 shaper origin handheld cnc router at the end of this month who's buying?

The vendor I use for digital printing is always spot on with their colors, so I wouldn't think that's the problem. I bought the Nix to use when doing surveys and when the customer needs a color-match for the exterior walls. I figured it would be a better alternative to use the Nix and get the...
  7. $1500 shaper origin handheld cnc router at the end of this month who's buying?

I was sent a replacement. I tested it by scanning multiple Sherwin Williams colors, used the CMYK colors to print those colors and then compared them to the originals. They weren't even close.
  8. $1500 shaper origin handheld cnc router at the end of this month who's buying?

I learned my lesson with that Nix paper weight. This looks like a great tool, but no way I would front that until it's actually released and has positive feedback.
  9. Formed sign face supplier (D/FW Area?)

It's all on their Facebook page. I've only dealt with them once and that was for 5x10 formed faced, backsprayed. They dod a really nice job. https://m.facebook.com/Master-Signs-176281678288/

  11. Looking for Installers in 6 Cities

    Piece o' cake. :thumb:
  12. Acrylic Letters to Cement Face

Silicone works great for non-acrylic and non-polycarbonate applications. For those, Lexel is the best. It's the only adhesive I've found that specifically lists those items. I posted this a while ago, but this is a picture of an acrylic panel that was adhered to concrete that had to be...
  13. Mounting Acrylic Standoff Panel to Glass Wall

If the panels are fairly small, you can use clear VHB on the back of the standoffs and just tape them directly to the glass. Then tape a matching cap on the opposite side of the glass. It gives the appearance that it's anchored through the glass without actually having to drill it.
  14. That's Now How It Works...

Better than losing your shirt on a job....
  15. Acrylic Letters to Cement Face

Lexel is about the best you can use for outdoor use - especially with acrylic. It eats into the acrylic. In fact, maybe not coincidentally, it's like when you would assemble models as a kid - the model glue would eat into the plastic pieces. That's what this does. It also smells exactly like...
  16. Acrylic Letters to Cement Face

Looks good. You kicked the light, didn't you? lol.... (kidding, but I've been there...)
  17. Letter track attachment?

Probably doesn't matter, but 3 is non-flammable whereas 4 is flammable. 3 also sets up a bit faster.
  18. Letter track attachment?

Looks like this was mentioned, but most manufacturers of letter track list on their site the distance the track should be spaced. Also, why mess with drilling all of the holes, oversizing them, pop-riveting the track? Weld-On works a whole lot better and faster
  19. Installing acrylic letters to drywall

Agreed, unless using spacers. In which case each letter should have four, otherwise they tend to teeter-totter.
  20. Installing acrylic letters to drywall

There are over 30 different VHB tapes, so it may be you're using the wrong one. Silicone is not an adhesive - it's a sealant. It can typically be peeled off acrylic pretty easily. If only using tape and silicone, replace your silicone with Lexel. That being said, I prefer stud-mounting due to...
