  1. Crane Below Bucket, Why??

    Wishlist vs budget....
  2. Crane Below Bucket, Why??

Me as well, getting a DOT number and physical is no big deal and essentially free, a bigger lift and trailer plus a big truck MIGHT put you past 26,000 but I doubt the setup was that big? I have thought about going with an all-terrain scissor lift and trailer, it is so nice to have the work area...

  4. Crane Below Bucket, Why??

Also look up Rick Williams articles on his little setup and how he has used different lifts over the years, some good insights from a pretty clever dude.
  5. Crane Below Bucket, Why??

No offense intended, but it sounds like you have a lot of research to do. Unless you are VERY rural and not worried about liability and working for/by yourself, fitting a new or different basket is basically a non option. Out of curiosity I looked into putting a different basket on a 10 year old...
  6. Crane Below Bucket, Why??

Look all over the country and contact some of the good manufacturers and tell them what you are looking for and have them keep an eye out. I bought my first truck last fall (old 35' elliot ) and mostly bought it because it was a great deal. Depending on what you are doing and who you are working...

  8. A little office remodeling this past weekend....

Nice reception desk ;), I put steelart and gemini samples in ours and customers love to fidget with them and ask questions.
  9. the mysterious black box

I couldn't replicate myself. What flexi and os are you on, what mail client, what image format? When you paste into an email is it putting it in the message or adding it as an attachment?
  10. HDU primer

Awesome info Geoff, I will have to pick some up and give it a go!
  11. HDU primer

Also, whats your guilding process look like (assuming you guild over your primer)?
  12. HDU primer

I scanned through the tech pdf on your site, how many coats do you usually do (I know its says 2 recommended, but do you do more than 2 sometimes?) for carved or blasted areas with texture (wood grain) how are you applying? If you spray, what is the equipment set up? Seams like a long time...
  13. Question 4 sided sign frame

Then if you are doing higher volume and need to scale, contact a local extruder and give them samples of what you need and price out running a batch that will last a quarter or half years time.
  14. Question 4 sided sign frame

Check McMaster for "framing and fittings" you will be astonished.
  15. Ideal portable table to take on install sites.

Depending on the job, a bakers scaffold is both useful as a table and work platform, not nearly as portable as a folding table though.
  16. Ideal portable table to take on install sites.

Next time I'm down south I gonna follow Tex around, never know what kind of goodies you'll get!
  17. 3M Blue Tape alternative

I usually get 3M when it's on sale at Sherwin Williams, bought some orange high tack a while ago for working on a car with ceramic coating and it is heavy duty and sticks well for several applications where blue tape falls short. I will have to try some from the body supply shops.
  18. How to create signtray using flexi enroute

Feel free to message me if you have any problems, I'll do what I can to help.
  19. How to create signtray using flexi enroute

I agree, it has severely fallen behind vcarve, I bought my router used with an old en route 5.2 license and dongle and use it for now until I can justify building vcarve pro into a few carved projects. This is what I do: 1) start with the face (rectangle), this will be an engrave toolpath (or...
  20. Remote Project Manager at your Service

I apologize for adding to the off-topic replies, and don't intend to come off as nosy or rude. Are you the owner of the shop you mention or the manager? I assumed "took over" meant that you purchased and were/are the owner of but reading through again it sounds like you are a manager looking for...
