Brand new unopened Design-line & Finish-line from the distributor here does not stick very well. Especially if you have to lift the material and work it around some compound curves - almost always gets stuck to the vinyl. 2080 and 180c are super aggressive out here so maybe not the tape's fault...
Do you have any clear you have reliably printed on before for an overlay? I've had to do that with some translucent that just would not print solid and clean.
Looks like the pattern is mirrored and repeating so you just need cut lines for one section copied onto the next repeat. Can you post up that sample you have there in vector?
Yes, matte black always looks great - when it is still on the roll. Just like the guys who cover their whole truck in spray-on bed liner (in designer colors).
