I prefer cut off because I can deal with the job as it’s being cut.
I am however toying with the idea of getting a take up for the summa then cutting the labels into *customer sized* sheets on our flexa cutter after. Though it wouldn’t be set up for that so would likely need to be taken back...
Going to assume it’s corrugated plastic? We use some pretty cheap vinyl for this stuff and have never had issues with it peeling at the edges - probably an application error?
Also, the UK death figures ONLY count people that died in hospital. We don’t count people that have died in care homes, at home etc so I’d guess the real numbers are pretty gruesome.
Probably won’t be too much help but it’s definitely achievable in onyx so should be around there somewhere.
what may be of help, is it isn’t on the cutter itself or even in the summa cutter control. It’s in onyx cut server (so essentially it’s part of the cut file? It has to already be...
The UK and USA were both a bit late to the party. Which is ironic as now we have two of the steepest death curves - as countries were fully locking down the UK actually had the idea of herd immunity and just done a bit contact tracing.
Also, we weren’t monitoring any incoming people and still...
There might be a page about that in the maintenance manual. You’ll need to flush the machine then I believe there’s a part you need to lock the head In position. I believe it’s fairly straightforward
Could be a bit crap under the head (fluff etc) that’s wiping as it prints?
try turning it to uni directional instead of bi and you’ll be able to tell if it’s an alignment issue
Yeah. As frank said, there’s the option to read from barcode to barcode, read 2 marks or read 4 marks then cut.
It’s worth switching around sometimes depending on job length. We use the opos panelling for the larger files so it doesn’t need to track through the entire sheet in order to check...
Try just doing an over night nozzle wash, set it up, then once the head is soaking in the liquid just unplug it. Leave that overnight.
I take it you’re following the correct maintenance daily/weekly? Is there any sign of some fluff etc on the head?
One missing nozzle shouldn’t really be an...
To quote the orange man;
"We need the masks, we don't want other people getting them”
The whole America first thing may prove popular with his following but I cant imagine this will help with his standing in the international community in the short or long term.
I probably wouldn’t even do an action for that, takes about 30 seconds. The results will be quicker but you’ll still likely have to go in and screw around with the nodes on some joins
Everyone’s in the same position internationally. Scrambling for the scraps of PPE and ventilators.
I just hope next time there’s such a crisis the world is better prepared.
I do however feel (I’m from the UK, If that helps). That these items should be dealt out in the order that they were...
Actually I’m from Europe, and my company prioritises quality over cheap materials.
You don’t get it. If you try compete with these online companies and make pennies per job. That’s on you when you’re working flat out and struggling to pay the bills.
Work smarter not harder. As Gino said...
The reason these companies can go so cheap, is they bulk buy EVERYTHING and they run industrial machines, which are generally cheaper to run. Hell even a flat bed means it’s just material and ink instead of material, ink, vinyl, laminate.
Then they mostly have automated systems and ordering...
I had the opposite problem on one of our machines (not a latex). It had a wake up/turn off procedure set for when we were likely to be in, but every time it turned on it’s internal clock got knocked out a bit.
so I’d turn it on, wait for it to head up. Then if I forgot to send stuff it’d turn...
