I have saved empty cores for years and with one certain supplier they like when I give them back to them to recycle and use again. It saves them a small pitance and I don't have to throw them into a garbage container and out to a landfill. I can only guess that over the years I have probably...
so
1) yes to pre mask that has been damaged on the ends, or cut too fast with the baloney slicer..... pack it up and send it back to the supplier. Let them unload it on some walk in end user.
2) 3m masking tape can be a real pain too. Sometimes the cellophane wrap around it gets stuck...
I have found with my Summa cutter that weeding from different angles can improve the process. I find that laminated square or round cut decals at times depending on the laminate can be a real pain (especially the small stuff), so once I see the issue I stop and rotate the sheet and try going...
I am not sure if it is illustrator that causes this, but I am receiving far too many files for vinyl cutting that have a double cut line somewhere in the graphic. Either in the conversion or possibly the designer putting a keyline around an existing shape with no thickness.

I picked up a roll of this 3ml gloss laminate from Western Rim ( supplier in Canada) and I am truly amazed with it. They call it Signmax and I am not sure if it is rebranded, but I am so happy I found it... First off, it goes down great and has the same sort of look as a 2ml 3M gloss... very...
So if he can get a cheap price from the town low baller, why does he waste his time coming to you? I get this all the time too...I just give them a price and when they say it's too much, I say goodbye
Steamer works best with a plastic blade... glue remover a must!!! If there is residual ghosting you could always slap a layer of white translucent over the area you are working in.
I remember when I used to outsource some cutting to a company that had 3 or 4 gerbers and tons of fonts... My mouth was watering when I saw that Super Sprint and how fast it cut. The 4b, as great an invention that it was took forever to do something like a zoning sign. Still faster than hand...
