  1. do anyone know where to get this?

Any office furniture surplus dealer (assuming you're talking about the desk). If you're talking about the perforated metal, I would use McNichols.
  2. ugly expensive job...

You misspelled 'misspelled'. just messing with you...
  3. 8x20 sign

Is the block wall flat? If so, just flush mount the panels to the block and avoid the whole frame.
  4. yousendit.com YOU SUCK!

    ...agreed.
  5. Logo I did...

I think it's pretty cool - nice job! The only thing that seems a little off is the dude's left leg (his left) seems like it should be behind the white border....almost like he's stepping out of the circle. ? Also, I kind of agree on maybe the bottom text should be flipped. But ya, I like it!
  6. OVS Double Sided Tape

You can get 24" wide rolls of VHB tape. Get your wallet out though. You can get 48" also if you don't mind applying for a small loan. You can also buy sheets. I know there are 8.5" x 13". I forget if it comes in other sheet sizes.
  7. OVS Double Sided Tape

Oversized as in thicker or wider?
  8. client wants a sign to block a driveway, help please

Without knowing the size of the driveway, the property layout or the nature of the business, I would think a banner would be the best solution. Install supports on opposite sides of the driveway and provide a banner with grommets and bungees so the customer can easily remove or install as they wish.
  9. Lighting an Acrylic Sign

Looks good. An extruded frame is a good way to hide the LED's. A 1" deep frame, ½" at the bottom is for the LED strip to sit in, the other ½" is for the acrylic to sit in.
  10. Store Facelift

    Nice! Good job.
  11. It's good to be blessed

    Looks good!
  12. lightbox sign in river.

    Hope it has weep holes.
  13. Big sign advice

He just means to screw it so it's secure.
  14. Big sign advice

Yes, I'd go with 6 mil.
  15. Big sign advice

After seeing the building, I wouldn't even bother with a frame. The metal fascia looks to be pretty even. I would just lay your vinyl graphics on some ACM and maybe include a black vinyl border that serves double-duty to help disguise your screws. Use some Tek screws with the rubber washers to...
  16. Big sign advice

I agree with the others....ACM panels for the face and 2" aluminum angle for the framework. Aluminum angle clips attached to the faces so they're removable from the frame. Mount the frames, then mount the panels.
  17. Electrical Signage help

SignComp has exploded views of their products in their catalogs and on their website. The corner pieces are called 'keys'. There's really not much to this. Two faces cut to size, take the retainer apart, insert the new faces, good to go. Implementing a hanger bar will help eliminate faces...
  18. Exterior Routered Letter install

I totally agree. I thought I read that he had to use studs. If studs aren't required by the client, then I would definitely just use silicone and VHB tape. That being said, one advantage to stud-mounting is it gives you some adjustability and allows you to keep the letter faces flush in the...
  19. I HAVE THE SWEETEST CUSTOMERS!! (some of them!)

I'd say keep the momentum rolling...discounts here and there, thank you cards, etc.
  20. Best Material for this

From the looks it's a flex face with vinyl dividers. ...might be worth trying to score a repair on the show-through copy while you're out there.
