Mike, it certainly won't open as an ai file in CS2. It gives an unrecognised format message. Later I'll try renaming it as a jpg or something basic and seeing what's there, also looking at in hex format- maybe there'll be a properties line of text stating what program created it which will...

What font printing/viewing program are you using? You ought to be able to just select the ones you want (click, & shift-click or ctrl-click) till they're selected & print the selection. Failing that, copy/drag the ones you want to a separate folder & print the whole folder.

I didn't know flexi can over ride it. I can change the setting in flexi to do it, but the plotter still stops at about the 59"/1550mm mark, ignoring flexi. I've just learnt to work with that limit & you break up files to suit. Glen you can use the latest XP drivers and plot from Corel 12...

also vaguely like Lucida Calligraphy Italic, but not for the C- but still waay off. I'd guess it's a hashed-up mixture? I used to know a C like that, but sorry it's slipped off this computer. It was a common enough one too.

Maybe it's only some drivers, and maybe there's some luck too! I think the dg site is from Japan & the dga is from USA and the Jap's one was supposed to be the better- that's from a few people on another forum who've been plagued with difficulties using dga drivers. edited to add...

Niner, I'd been warned to avoid the Roland DGA site, and to get the drivers from Roland DG site. The files were not as temperamental or corrupted, I understand.

In photoshop, after extracting, select the background & delete or do whatever you need. Use Selection>modify>expand to swell the selection onto the background a bit if necessary then. Use help>export transparency to get it saved as an eps that'll be placeable with the selection transparent.

I've never used one, but a friend had one- he said the PC-60 uses tape as it moves, regardless of whether or not it prints that colour- but the PC-600 has a tape-saver ability so it only uses up what it prints. hth PS he now uses a 6 colour pro2.
