It sounds like Oracal 3551gra, it is a modified 'High Performance' calendared material which we use a lot and have had great luck with. We do not do wraps BTW.

We have had a RF-640 [ same as VS except no cut and 2x CMYK] for 3+ years with no problems. If [when] the RF is discontinued I will buy another one. Truevis makes me queasy from what I have read.

Safety Speed Cut will be debuting a new attachment for their sign shop panel saws that will cut and v-groove dibond and much more. I have been a test shop for them and a lot of engineering and thought has gone into this. Tell them Gene sent you and to give you a nice discount.:D
