  1. Roland GX 300 or Summa D75 ?

I love Summa also- but if you have a Roland 30" printer- the GX makes it seamless.
  2. Gerber Edge and enVision 375- with Omega 2.0

I have a couple takers- will bump up if they do not work out. Thanks Gene
  3. Gerber Edge and enVision 375- with Omega 2.0

OK- the old barnacle of a computer I had to drive this setup finally died and the young folks who actually do the work around here have no interest in continuing the Edge saga that we started in 1999. Whooooh am I getting old. The head on the Edge (the front opening style) has a pixel out almost...
  4. The Sign Invitational.

Congrats to all- I took a class taught by Peter a couple years ago at Rob's sign camp. A very nice, talented fellow. Gene
  5. Permanent Kraft or substance for laminator?

Slit (or saw) the laminate to 28 inches? What are you printing with at 28 inches? Gene
  6. Sp300 head height (head carrier)

Are you talking not level side to side or front to back?
  7. T-60 plotter not cutting.

I have a 15year old Edge Thermal printer- have never seen a Summa printer in the flesh, but- thermals are good for a very small percentage of jobs- for instance printing opaque white. Otherwise they are expensive and slow and a technology that is going to be extinct. And you do still need to...
  8. Neatdesk alternative?

    Scansnap
  9. Vape / E cigarette signs

It's way over up here now. A year ago it was a big deal.
  10. Printing and cut on silver and gold vynil

We do a lot of 25 ft long cut decals and sometimes the reg marks need to be moved a little bit to 'fool' the cutter- so I have a roll of 2" white circles with reg marks printed in the middle to cover the old ones.
  11. looking to decrease my ecosolink curing time before lamination

This is my setup- I built some 80/20 structure to support my winder (up in the air where an old man can service it) and the BB heater (under the .040 alum sheet. You can buy the heater without the stand BTW.
  12. Oracal 290 vs. Clear Shield

We have been doing predominately business vehicles for 19 years- started with a Fargo (ha) and then an Edge and the last 12 years with solvent Roland wideformat printers- all the wide format laminated with Oracal. We have many customers who have been with use as long as their businesses have...
  13. looking to decrease my ecosolink curing time before lamination

I use a Black Box drier: http://bbcind.com/product/digi-dri-portable-infrared-dryer/ With a RF640 solvent printer- have never had a customer come back with failure.
  14. Oracal 290 vs. Clear Shield

I know it is supposed to be a secret, but on which part of which earth do you reside? I have been using Oracal and Orical laminate for 12years and never experienced anything like that.
  15. Noncompete

I don't think that you can enforce a non-compete now days unless you are a *very* specialized employee. Otherwise I don't believe a judge would ever rule that a person cannot make a living.
  16. Best Blade for Wall Saw

Not if you wanted to do a search- the correct terminology can be important. :Big Laugh
  17. Best Blade for Wall Saw

Sorry if I was requiring too much effort from you. If you search ye shall find.
  18. Best Blade for Wall Saw

    Search for Panel Saw blades
  19. Grommet Press Advise

+1 on the Stimson- we suffered with a Fasnap style for 15 years and everyone would hide when it was time to grommet, now it is a pleasure (well... you know what I mean). And we grommet a lot of acm - it will punch right through. If you use the thicker aluminum acm (read expensive) it 'might' be...
  20. Free "Never 10" tool by GRC to stop unwanted Win10 upgrades

GWX is another one I have used for 6-8 months with good experience. Just noticed that InfoWorld prefers it.
