  1. It's one of those weeks

I think the CANDIDATES have something to do with it- some things do not and should not be spoken out loud. Bad enough when it happens in your head.
  2. Roland TrueVis

Strongly recommend the RF-640 with a bulk ink setup (aftermarket- I can help with sourcing and setup is simple)
  3. Roland TrueVis

It looks like this is where the heads come from- http://www.epson.com.sg/epson_singapore/explore_epson/innovation/micro_piezo.page
  4. Dimension tool: Fractions instead of decimals?

If you click in the square between the rules (upper left corner- with up and right arrows) you get the options- no fractions I am afraid for my older version. You can type in fractions and it will convert them- but it seems to 'think' in decimals or whatever type you prefer.
  5. anyone on 101 running a laser?

Kern is made in my old home town of Wadena, Mn. He is a very smart man- and seems to be doing very well.
  6. anyone on 101 running a laser?

Hi Pete- that looks like a serious piece of machinery. I have a Chicom Co2 130w 3x4ft laser I am setting up. What software do you use?
  7. anyone convert Fargo Pictura 310s to dye sublimation t-shirt printing

I will be shocked if 10% of the people on this board know what a Fargo 310s is, and if 1% have owned one. I bought one 20 years ago... and stored it for years (before scrapping it) after buying a Gerber Edge. So good luck to you finding a modified one my friend... but... hope springs...
  8. ROLAND ECO-SOLVENT vs. HP LATEX - My personal experience owning both.

Thank you Deco- this should be very interesting to a lot of people. I have never seen a latex printer but what I have read, and your comments, convinced me that for our needs... the solvent Roland was the only choice. We print only our own graphics and mostly short runs (altho we also do long...
  9. VS 540I Upgrade, How old is this Model?

There is a world of difference between the SP and the VS. At least two generations- and if it was to be discontinued... it will keep on printing.
  10. Light Cyan and Light Magenta

And that it makes more difference to some people than others.
  11. Just Wondering.....................

    or.... the plot sickens.....
  12. Anyone using this type of cartidge with a bulk ink system (adjustable float)

What I was asking was how you set this thumbscrew (below). I would guess in the middle of it's travel would be the place to start.
  13. Oracal vs 3M

I cannot remember the last time we had a failure I was fairly sure was bad vinyl... admit that my memory is failing.
  14. Oracal vs 3M

I think this was a response to my post- I avoid the cowboy and use N.Glantz and Grimco mostly. Also have not used Avery since the huge failures a number of years ago.
  15. Anyone using this type of cartidge with a bulk ink system (adjustable float)

Yep, I have the whole shebang- just wondering about how the floats should be set to start. Thanks Gene
  16. Any ideas....................

http://www.specialty-graphics.com/clean-cut-roland-blade-zecu-45.html Sounds like just a glitch- the onboard cutters are lame. I am surprised you still have an SP- good printer but dead slow. Our RF640 is a beast and only about 15K (no onboard cutter).
  17. Anyone using this type of cartidge with a bulk ink system (adjustable float)

I still have a dozen 440 cartridges before I switch but that will not take long. This is the cartridge I have run into most in my searches for a bulk system for my RF roland- lots of them on ebay- I bought from the Chicoms direct and it looks just like what they are selling for 2-3 times the...
  18. Anyone switch to LED office/shop lights

Were these T-12 or T-8s? There are a *lot* of tubes on AliEx- part number would be very helpful. Thanks Gene
  19. Best way to revise deflected nozzles?

I would not pull the solvent back thru the head at all. Pushing thru with great caution.
