That Klus extrusion is an elegant solution, but kinda expensive- $60 for a meter. I have been machining my own from oak but I would love to find a ready made extrusion... perhaps not quite so elegant/$. Has anyone seen anything similar for .22 acrylic? Thanks Gene
I would add to Stacy's comments (which are right on) that the print/cut machines are not good cutters. You will not track or cut as well as a dedicated cutter. Also if you are considering a VS roland, I would mention that the RF640 is the same machine without the cutter- for a lot less money...
Bought a T750 Summa 20 years ago and it still cuts great- the T series is for tangental and is a great upgrade IMO. Also have a GX as it couples seamlessly with my Roland printers and Versaworks (and works fine)- otherwise, Summa reigns. Gene
OP ain't SHOUTIN', us old pharts just talk LOUD))))))))))))) cus we don't hear so good with our big ears. And it is called creative
punctuation (and spelling) BTW :rock-n-roll:
I would like to go on the record as being in favor of functional aging (I am working on it)... I have the functional alcoholic thing down pretty good now. Aging is my next goal. I just turned 70 (not quite as advanced as OP) and I am here at 7:00, 7 days a week having some kind of fun- currently...
I can't say I have never seen banding, but only on a couple of colors- (I use Roland spot colors) and usually changing to a color that is close will solve it. The RF has only one head BTW.
I don't know, but- pretty sure the RF would not be as fast as your XC. On the EJ I would do some research on the dual heads (same head as the RF) I have read (on this board) have problems with syncing together. Search for info on the XR which is the same config.
Not sure what your reg marks look like but... for our Roland round marks I print/cut a strip of black dots with .5 white around them to use for different situations- easy to align over the existing and the cutter likes the white better. I have also moved the marks by a bit to get the reader to...
Or Cedar Rapids, Ia... two speeding tickets in a 3 mile stretch (one was a speed camera- didn't see that one till a month later) apparently it is a well known fundraiser for the town. :banghead:
So here is something I have always wondered about and not been able to get to function- this screen in the Z/U menu under 'Origin Set'- it is obviously possible to set up four distinct origins and then command the machine to return to them... but how to set them and then be able to return to...
How many people use RDworks (Ruida DSP)? I have been learning the intricacies and many settings of this program for a few months and can do (generally) what I need to do with it... but I have a self-destructive side and feel a need to learn more about it. Would anyone care to share the different...
I moved from a VP540- which was a good printer, but the material handling system is way superior on the RF. We print mostly one material but we do a lot of different materials so I built a piggy-back old style roller system to feed over the main roller holder for the other materials. I sold the...
