I am in need of a few table drapes for a customer.
6' table, 8' table, 30" tables. white logo on blue cloth.
I tried a few of the merchant members here, but still awaiting calls back with pricing...
Any recommendations?
I would assume that Bill's solution above is correct, but if your customer is cheap... some "layflat/no-curl banner" material and some velcro strips would probably "get-r-dun".
I bought 3 of the "Edge 1" (tan with rear hinge) and the accompanying HS/GS plotters.
Bought a used Mimaki also, but no new equipment in 2015 yet.
Oh wait, this thread was about last year? Only a Summa plotter and a couple old Gerber Solaras. (bad decision on the Solaras, lol)
I would see what local classes are offered in your area if you're trying to learn the design software yourself, or you can learn online on websites like Lynda.com. If you have a Roland printer I have heard that Flexi Sign is very intuitive to learn for a beginner.
I would also recommend either...
I need a serial cable to drive my HS15 / GS15. I need it to be serial to serial (as my Omega & computer is older).
Does anyone have a link to a compatible cable for sale? USB will NOT work.
Looks like an Edge print on Smooth Silver, no idea of a chrome that would print similar on a latex, there looks to be some transparency showing through on the teal & orange area.
I thought that I have dealt with every possible material out there, but I've never seen this... or anything even close.
This print was done with a Gerber Edge and then the cutting is done and laminate applied and cut again.
Gerber has a 210 Flourescent Lime Green
3M has its REALLY bright 1080 neon flourescent green
The 210 lasts a while just as cut vinyl.
If you laminated the 1080 with a UV inhibiting laminate it would help extend the life of the vinyl.
Can you run Illustrator in a legacy mode in Windows 10 like you can with Windows 7?
I know in Win 7 I can right click and "troubleshoot" to get it to run in an older Windows mode. (I do this for Gerber Omega)
A "potential customer" who owns a construction company walked in a few minutes ago. Says he has a friend with a large format printer who makes signs and wraps.
He just lives down the road and needs some yard sign blanks (for his buddy to put prints on) and wants to know where we buy them...
X2 on knifeless tape for the hood. The wheel decal looks like a dark silver-metallic cut vinyl.
The grill is also wrapped with the matte black wrapping vinyl.
if you are trying to upload a JPEG and it is CMYK, that will not work. I have had that trouble before.
Otherwise, I think you need one of those lil blue pills. I have NOT had that trouble before.
I cannot see a picture, but I assume that it is an Edge print on an unknown gold vinyl from your description.
You're gonna probably need a decent photo to determine the material accurately as a lot of them are very similar.
