  1. Where can I find the CHEVROLET tailgate log as pictured?

Brands of the world has a lot of similar that I think you could make work.
  2. 'Disconnected' issue

It sounds like you have it running through a router? I would suggest a direct connection from the computer to the machine. (I think the one I used to run had a cross-over cable?) There might also be a certain brand of network card that is recommended for use with Roland printers? I know our...
  3. Eyesore to Wallscape in 24 minutes

Shouldn't you let the paint cure more than 24 minutes before installing the hardware and banner? Don't get me wrong, this looks like a great system/product for us to be able to sell, but don't tell me that from when you drove the truck onto the parking lot till when it left was 24 minutes.
  4. Will there be a Omega 6.0?

Is it also the end of the line for Gerber as far as machine development?
  5. Anyone have a GOOD PhotoTex Profile?

Make sure that they sent you the correct material, there are different versions of Phototex out now, and some of them are not solvent printable. There should be a letter code in the product identifier. (EXS should mean solvent printable) http://www.phototexgroup.com/sizes/ I might not have...
  6. JV3-130SPII yellow issues

I would still recommend getting those screws replaced asap! Great work so far getting it fixed yourself.
  7. "Wrapping" with 680CR?

Yes, bridge and roll in, the thin 3M rollers (expensive) and geek wrap squeegees are good for these smaller recesses. It may lift back up later in the horizontal groove, can't really guarantee it not to on that small of a recess, but it should stay down fine on the "super duty" lettering area...
  8. Where to put seams in transit?

Put the panels vertical. Your RIP should show you which material will work best for you based upon the overall vehicle length. (48" material versus 54") Be careful on the hood layout, Those hood vents are a lot lower than you think, we almost had to reprint the hood panel on a transit wrap last...
  9. Magenta bleeding into yellow

If the pumps aren't working or there is a clog in the line going from the caps to the pump you can get this problem. I would take off the capping station/pump parts and clean all the caps, lines, etc well. I would bet that it is NOT a bad head.
  10. Creating Panels & Tiling in Software to send to subs

Put guides in illustrator. 1" overlap. (so one at 47.5 & one at 48.5") Put a rectangle in and use it as clipping masks to make 2 or 4 separate art files to send to your print vendor. Personally, when we print other peoples' artwork here, I request they leave it alone and I use my RIP software...
  11. Bad rolls of 3m IJ180Cv3-10

We go through about a roll each or both 48" and 54" 180c here daily and about a roll per week of the 180cv3, but we only use it in 36" widths for a certain customer. Never had that kind of trouble that I can recall.
  12. JV3-130SPII yellow issues

Not ALL of these links are still good, but I think that you are still able to download the manuals you will need to carry out the head alignment procedures. I pay a tech to align our heads here when they are replaced, I just don't have that kind of patience...
  13. newly painted

I've done them as soon as same day per the customer demand, however I try to inform customers that 1 week is a good minimum. I have had no problems when waiting a week, but I HAVE had problems with next-day installs outgassing and ruining the vinyls.
  14. JV3-130SPII yellow issues

Problem #1: Keep your printer & docking station clean. I believe that the docking station wasn't properly cleaned and that the head traveled over it and got stuck. That leads to the docking station not retracting properly into its lowered position. Don't worry, that happens to the best of us. ;)...
  15. First Wall Vinyl Job- Installation help

Get the 3M adhesive test kit. You will need to test EVERY wall before applying vinyl, sorry but you'll thank me later; it'll be better than your vinyl falling off. Also, never trust that just because one wall is painted with a certain paint that the adjoining wall is painted with the same. For...
  16. dumb scale question

I would pick a standard size to save your illustrator template at, or just be sure to name the filename with the scale in it. Then place it as a smart object in PS and scale it appropriately in PS. To get it to a standard size, use your transform palette. Illustrator and Photoshop allow you...
  17. dumb scale question

For drawings coming from CAD like these, most of the time the templates are set to a certain scale based upon what the blueprints are printed out of, not any particular scale. We do quite a lot of DOD contract work here also, and custom emergency apparatus graphics I was just stating that I tend...
  18. dumb scale question

You need to pick a standard scale that you are comfortable designing at and stick with it whenever possible. This will get you accustomed to the standard numbers you'll use to re-size between scaled and full-size. When I design artwork for vehicles I use 1/20 scale as that is what our...
  19. Software

You're on the right track. if you're already experienced with the Adobe Suite of products then I would suggest going your planned route. If not, then I encourage you to try some of the other options also like Corel Draw and see which one you prefer to work in. If you're not previously...

Where ARE you? Knowing which country you are in might help a lot; this is a worldwide forum. The more specific the better, no need to leave out details when asking for help. :Welcome:
