Laminate is made with a PERMANENT adhesive, and it is super thin; it will NOT remove easily. Don't do it, you'll probably ruin the finish of your car.

The print is printed in reverse onto the back of the clear layer, then I assume a double-sided adhesive or the black plastic has an adhesive that adheres to the back of the print. Not sure on the stand-offs.

These are for 1.5mil refrigerator-style magnets.

We print on the VinylFX Smooth Silver on our Edge machines. I think it is also called "durable smooth silver" or "e-smooth"

We have always used the 3M films and done wet installs. The installers hate it, but it is a quality product. We recently did some testing with the MacTac air egress dusted and frosted films (which are also printable), and the installers loved it. We may be making a switch soon.

Get a used plotter off craigslist, there's always some on there & buy a new machine. New Epsons can be had for under $10,000 & latex for only a couple thousand more. Remember you're also going to have to invest in a laminator soon.
