OK, it's been a while since I serviced anything like this, but as I recall, when properly installed, these type of letters would have a method of removal for servicing.
So I would look very closely at the mounting to see if there is a way to unfastened and then remove.
As has been said be sure...
I prefer acrylic on smaller signs 4x8 or less, it's whiter and stays whiter longer. Polycarb for anything bigger, exposed to more stress or a need for seamless install.
Thank you Fred for turning this place into the best sign hangout on the web and good luck with all your future endeavors.
And welcome Paul, I hope you live up to Fred's example, but I have to say that starting out with some weird Russian spammer filling the site on your first day is not a good...
I'm sure there is business I have never seen because of online giants, and not so giants.
But what I offer isn't available to most people shopping online, 40 years of experience with materials and installation
and the crew I work with who are very good at what they do.
Design, material selection...

But I have no complaints this was the first issue after many years of use.
I agree with that Fred...but are there tradeshow/exhibit companies that don't already do their own printing? All the ones I know are pretty complete operations, everything from graphics, to printing to fabrication and show set up. He's saying there a tradeshow company that has been outsourcing...
Used to see sign fires like that a lot 20-30 years ago when neon was the preferred method of lighting channel letters.
Probably arced out due to poor installation, failure to maintain proper distances from something it could arc to and failure to properly insulate.
That's the kind of stuff that...
I think it's worth a shot. Since you have all the necessary equipment already and a boatyard connection, the worst that can happen is waste a weekend hanging out in the boatyard.
I kiss the days when every spring I would spends many days in the local yards lettering transoms. It usually started...
I think the photo/light may be causing a bit of distortion.
The font looks like Baskerville which has a capital "A" that is taller.
Also the lettering arc should match the sign arc better, and I wish I had put more space between the arced letters and the panel under it, and maybe made the...
