  1. Vehicle wrap training options/recommendations.

I've taken 2 of Justin Pates Avery Dennison classes. Digital Print and Color change. Became certified as well. I also subscribe the the wrap institute and watch the instructional videos every morning. Absolutely love his approach to wrapping and he's a great instructor. I can't say enough great...
  2. Suggestions Flat Exterior Material Recommendation

We have a flat painted aluminum exterior application we'd like material recommendations for below are the specifics. -The customer will be installing (non-experienced installers) -Material will need to be digitally printed material and laminated sheets/sections will be 48" tall x 60" wide...
  3. Sharpie on laminate

I may be incorrect about this but after using a product like rapid remover or possibly some of the other suggestions, I would have the customer clean off these products with a mild cleaner like soap and water. Some may dry out the laminate if left on there. Just to be safe.
  4. Does all 3M have markings on the backing paper?

There should be a decal inside of the core tube that lists what it is and where it came from, I think??
  5. Discussion Recesses - How deep is too deep?

When in doubt, inlay or overlay. You say you don't want it to fail so that's the only way to ensure that it doesn't. :)
  6. What would you use?

Looks like the orange cracking portion could be a bad liquid laminate??
  7. Small shop getting into wraps?

Unfortunately, rich dude's toy garage. His hobby is fixing old cars. Those wall lights are amazing! Night and Day, literally.
  8. Small shop getting into wraps?

Wraps are profitable if you price them right but they are time consuming and tedious. If you're 1 person, a full wrap could be 16 to 20 hours and a lot of that time is detailed cutting so taking a break is a good idea. It really should be something you enjoy doing not just for the money and...
  9. Inozetek Wrap material

It's definitely calendared and it was a 2 to 3 person install and heat all the time just to make it "workable" and conformable. It just blows my mind that it would fade or change color like this. My customer just HAD to have this color, I would have advised against it if I'd have known this.
  10. Inozetek Wrap material

Thanks for your help. I'm going to try to get a refund for the newer replacement roll.
  11. Inozetek Wrap material

We tried Inozetek 2 years ago we ordered and wrapped a customer's truck with your Khaki Green. A year went by and there was some damage to the vehicle so they asked me to order some additional material to replace the new parts of the truck. We received the material and it's correct to the...
  12. Gas Station Canopy printed panels

Yes I would ship directly to them. The sun side is fading and cracking the fastest. Paint is not an option. I had heard citgo screen prints theirs.
  13. Gas Station Canopy printed panels

Can anyone recommend a wholesale supplier that can screen print or another longer lasting print option direct to aluminum canopy material? We've been providing printed/laminated graphics for several years and even cast material in the sun won't last very long. Now they want to cover up cracked...
  14. Graphtec FC 9000 marks for long cuts

I purchased a X-rite i1 Pro 3 over a year ago and planned to do this. I started and didn't finish the profile I was creating. It seemed a bit complicated but I'll get back at it.
  15. Design: How to?

Looks to me that with these images in photoshop, select their layer and use the dropdown on the layers tab and select either multiply, linear burn or darken. Can't remember if they need to be above the red layer or behind it or if it even matters.
  16. Graphtec FC 9000 marks for long cuts

I use Roland Printers and cannot seem to find decent profiles with flexi so I try to avoid printing in Flexi
  17. Graphtec FC 9000 marks for long cuts

Do you also add the marks in flexi, print from versaworks, then cut with flexi or just print and cut through flexi?
  18. Graphtec FC 9000 marks for long cuts

Tried the graphtec segment type 1 marks yesterday. It checked all the marks then went back to the first mark and stopped. It didn't cut at all. Tried it several times until we just put it back to the standard type 1 (marks in the 4 corners) and it cut. Am I missing something?
  19. Graphtec FC 9000 marks for long cuts

Thanks! We'll give it a shot.
  20. Graphtec FC 9000 marks for long cuts

Wondering if anyone has any insight into what type of registration marks to use for longer cuts. We recently purchased an FC 9000 Graphtec and it's seems to track off a little on it's cuts when we do longer runs with only 4 marks (1 each corner). I'd like to be more accurate and I see there are...
