  1. Tour Coach Bus

We don't offer window tinting so I rarely hear any ghetto rap music.
  2. Tour Coach Bus

Depends on who's tour bus it is. Country, Pop, Rap or Rock artist? Country artists are automatically double the price. I have an upcharge for customers that leave their vehicle and have country playing on the radio.
  3. Avery 1106 and Oracal 3951

I know materials are hard to come by and I've tried all of my suppliers at this point but does anyone have a source for Avery 1106 and Oracal 3951? If I could get 1 more roll of each, I may be able to get through the rest of the year. Avery laminate 1360 is also getting hard to find. Any help...
  4. Anyone here part of a 100+ employee company?

Amazing what our veterans do for our country to protect us all EVERY DAY, without hardly a thought. Poke me in the arm for the good of the country and help protect it's citizens...no thanks, I'll pass.
  5. New customers from online to local

We just had some FireClings printed from FireSprint a little while back. We're very happy with your service! Turnaround time was great. Thanks!
  6. Advice

I agree with fixing it until they are happy with it. It's a great learning experience even though this one is a large fix. Anytime this has ever happened to me, first initial thought is to blame everything and everyone else but after a short reflection I usually realize that, as particular as...
  7. Unwanted Masks

Anytime someone sends an EPS or AI file, I always open it first in Illustrator mainly just to see what it's supposed to look like. If flexi is being really stubborn, I'll export it out of Illustrator as a TIFF.
  8. To print or not to print

I know there is definitely more labor in print/laminate/cut/transfer tape but I see a lot more premium digital material at about the 10 - 11 year exterior life expectancy. However I did realize that is typically unprinted material.
  9. To print or not to print

Thanks in advance... If material cost were not an issue and durability and longevity of your products and consistent colors were the only important things, would you use printed/laminated vinyl or premium/color change wrap material? - Applications are all exterior. Signs and all ranges of...
  10. So, this just "fell off"? Hmmm

Did you use a wet application? Media manufacturers and suppliers had advised not to use a wet app on metallized material like chrome and reflective. I brought it up to a supplier after I used a wet application on a full reflective police car. 1 day later I got a call that there were little...
  11. Advise on horrible customer

I would say the deadlines are reasonable and doesn't necessarily expect me to drop everything but he does feel he should get a bit more attention. I would say his expectations is to have a proof for just about anything within 24 hours. Be on point with the design he was expecting. (This is where...
  12. Advise on horrible customer

His Grandfather is the head of the company. He's 90 and I've seen and heard from him less and less. The grandson is the future of the company for sure. There are people within the company that I deal with on a daily basis but the grandson oversees most everything. He can be a decent guy but he...
  13. Advise on horrible customer

I am always willing to accept that I could have done something differently to result in a more positive outcome which is why I rarely ever act on impulse. I usually take a deep breath, step back and try to rationalize the situation and see if there's some truth to a customers negative reaction...
  14. Advise on horrible customer

Thanks you all are awesome and there's a lot of great advise to wrap my head around. This is definitely a situation where he's more than likely never heard the word "no" or "ill get to it as soon as I can". I do not doubt our service but things have taken a bit longer in the design department...
  15. Advise on horrible customer

We have had a financially amazing customer for 10 years now and for the most part things have gone smoothly until the last few years. The grandson of this particular company has become more of a dominant role and his attitude is getting worse. He treats his employees terribly and I've seen this...
  16. What is going on...is everyone so busy?

Busy here as well Stacey K. I think we're in the same state/region. I've never seen it like this really. Hiring some help, even part time, would help ease up on the stress. We're a 4 person shop and I was able to hire a couple of months ago and it's definitely helped me with all of the smaller...
  17. Opinions about World Wide Sign Systems...

I've used them for almost 20 years here in Wisconsin as well. Never had an issue. I pick all of my signs up however.
  18. Well, it's finally happening...

Other things to consider for full wrap first time. Pull the Rivets. On a trailer this size it will take a part timer 30 min to remove. Wrapping over them will take a considerable amount of time especially for the first time and you may end up with issues later that the customer won't be happy...
  19. Oracal 751RA anyone seen this?

No we're not printing. Just cut vinyl. It's in the adhesive side not on top of the vinyl and I can't tell if it's in certain spots on the roll until I apply it to something.
  20. Oracal 751RA anyone seen this?

We have a white roll and a black roll of 751RA from oracal and from what I can tell this is what is happening to just the black. Anyone else having this issue? I can't seem to clear it up with heat.
