  2. Refacing polycarbonate lightbox sign - pull permits?

I convinced my local municipality to not require permits for this kind of project. If we are blocking a sidewalk or using electric tools, we still have to file for those permits but refacing a simple sign is not worth their time. Otherwise, we'd have to wait 2-3 months to finish a simple...
  3. Credit Card Stolen Number, how did it happen?

Just had my Capital One card stolen again in just 2 months. This time the person had my email address and my phone number. They tried buying a Meta headset and some games.
  4. Credit Card Stolen Number, how did it happen?

My Mom's personal credit card just got stolen from her small town credit union. She's never used the card and it's still glued to the paper that it came on. Ridiculous!
  5. Contour around text in CorelDraw 2019

I've been using Corel Draw since version 3 from 1992. Corel Draw definitely has issues with contour curves at times. For example, sometimes when contouring letters, it will contour everything but leave out the middle of an "O" letter. I've seen it happen many times.
  6. Contour around text in CorelDraw 2019

Corel Draw sometimes has issues with making contour lines. I've never figured out the exact cause. To get around it, I've made the object a bitmap and then auto trace. Stupid Corel Draw....
  7. Credit Card Stolen Number, how did it happen?

I always have issues with my Capital One cards . It just happened last week, again.
  8. Replacing lexan sign face question

Not a good idea to try this alone. Your install price is a little cheap, especially when considering you need a ladder. Always charge more for having to go up in the air. One issue with Lexan is that it is wobbly and is hard to pull out or put in and especially so when on a ladder. I'd...
  9. When "your" customers get signage elsewhere

I really hate when this happens but I really enjoy when they come crawling back after the other guy screwed them over and I get to shove it in their face.

  11. Mimaki CG-130 SRIII Plotter Plotter Cutting Problem

I have the same problem. It is very random but annoying when it happens. I also use FineCut and the same plotter.
  12. Premasked striping woes

I wouldn't have premasked the vinyl with those contours. If it were me, I would've laid the stripes down by hand without premask and would've done them individually. I've had plenty of these PITA jobs so I feel your pain!
  13. How to get rid of dust on my prints ???

Is the vinyl contaminated? I just had a 30" roll of Orajet 3951 that was completely contaminated. I was in a bind so I just had to deal with it and hated every second of it. I have about 10 yards left and I'm tossing it. I didn't have time to get a replacement otherwise I would've had it replaced.
  14. Does anyone know this font

Unless it is a custom hand drawn font..... One tip to spot custom hand drawn fonts is to compare the same letters to each other. For example, this logo has 2 each of "a" and "e". If you compare them, they are different. If it was a computer generated font, they would be identical, unless...

Could it be Albertus with some very slight changes?
  18. Is this a capping issue?

Here is what I had to do. There was no way that the cap station was going to line up with the print head unless I did something like this. There is no digital way of telling the cap station to move one way or another so this was my manual solution. I used some cardstock and then taped it around...
  19. Is this a capping issue?

I would make sure your print head is lining up correctly with the cap station. When I first replaced my cap station, I started having a similar issue. I had to put a little bumper on the cap station so that the print head would line up correctly when it came back to the home position. You should...
