  1. SP-300 service mode code question.

On the xc-540s it is: With the machine off momentarily press: down, right, left, up. Then hold: down, right, and left at the same time and press the power button. I think its the same on your machine.
  2. Let's Discuss Pickles...

Do you get ink all over your food when dumping it on newspaper like that? Never been served like that, but I always wondered that.
  3. iPhone looking biz cards

I could see it if you sold/serviced Apple products. Otherwise no thanks.

BTW I used to work in plastic factory that made our own molds in house and those are actual prices.
  6. Epson DX5 manifold

Just trying to show you why the $2 in plastic comes to $90 for finished product. Do you sell your finished product for how much the material cost you?
  7. Epson DX5 manifold

Plus the million+ dollar mold, the $800,000+ injection molding machine, power to run the motor(sometimes 300hp+) for the hydraulic pump on said machine, compressed air, chilled water, maintenance(one part on can be $25,000+).

  10. Pros & Cons 30'' vs 54''

We run several xc-540 and they are solid workhorses. We run 24/5 year round and they get beat on pretty good by the operators but they just keep on tickin'.
  11. Junior Seau RIP

Very sad indeed. The thing that annoys me about this whole concussion debate and generally making the game more and more like flag football in the name of safety is that there are people all over the country who do far more dangerous jobs for far less money. If a player is worried about his...
  12. Busted

Are you removing the fuse when you check it? If not you could be reading other components on the machine.
  13. Print quality from SP300

Banding is caused by so many different things its impossible to say from that picture. It could be a easy setting adjustment or it could be a nightmare replacing all kinds of different parts trying to fix it. No simple black and white answer. +1
  14. woohooo! FASTSIGNS airing on Undercover Boss on Friday (5/4)!

My CEO was on undercover boss and he does quarterly meetings with the entire company so we all know what he looks like. They did a good job of disguising him though I would have had no idea it was him had he been working with me. They even gave him a retainer to alter his voice. They told us it...
  15. How can I tell if head is shot or clogged?

There is no quick and easy answer to this. Try everything you can to recover the head, if none of it works you need a new head.
  16. Bought used Roland PLEASE HELP!

Cap tops. I would try to clean all of you cap tops then pull ink with a syringe. You should get solid ink with no air at all. If you still get air you need to replace your cap tops.
  17. whats causing this?

Sounds like ink starvation if it starts good then gets worse. Dampers?

  19. Out of Black, whip a CMY=K batch??

If it works in head "1" and head "2" is the same style head, I don't see why it wouldn't work even if the pigments are slightly different. On the other hand I could see the different pigments "clumping" together maybe??? Tough call.
  20. Out of Black, whip a CMY=K batch??

I would think that the mixed black wouldn't be exactly the same as the black on any part of the job you've already printed. So if they're next to each other you would be able to see the difference.
