  1. business licenses....

It's almost the end of the year, so you know what that means... renewal of business licenses for every town we put up signs in. Every year i get mad.. it's an absolute crock that I need a license in every town i go through, since our "city" is nothing but a bunch of suburbs at every street...
  2. Ij10 Discontinued?

Just heard 3m has discontinued ij10 - has anyone else heard this? It might not be the best vinyl out there but it does have its uses. Looks like I will have to find a substitute for those el cheapo coroplast jobs.

  4. CS6, has it already been made obsolete?

GRRRR. Spent a ton of money updating to cs6 less than a year ago, didn't like the idea of cloud and a subscription... guess it finally caught me. Went to open a .eps file, and the joyous message that can't open file, was created by a newer version popped up. I HATE YOU ADOBE! that is all.
  5. IJ35-C changed.

Don't know if anyone else noticed, but at some point in the last year, the adhesive on ij-35C has changed from straight grooves on the back to small crosshatch. I thought i was going nuts, and checked on some scrap in the back of the shop, and sure enough - it's different. I'm sure it makes...

We've used it before. Good stuff. Cut it before you get there, trimming around weather stripping isn't a good thing.

  14. Mimaki CG-130SRII Sloppy cuts

Figured it out. I ordered a new cutting strip and new blades. First I was using the half cut cutting strip with the new blade, and figured it was causing a little sloppiness. Then went to the new pen rubber. It was a little better. The old blades were so worn out, it wasnt cutting right at...
  15. Mimaki CG-130SRII Sloppy cuts

what do you oil the blade holder with?
  16. Mimaki CG-130SRII Sloppy cuts

bump? Sorry, I hated to do this, but original post was late last night, and still can't figure it out. Now when it cuts on cast cut vinyl it makes a perforated line when it cuts straight along the cutters axis (the x-axis?) anything curved or running along the vinyl (not width, but feed or...
  17. Mimaki CG-130SRII Sloppy cuts

I'm running into an issue with my Mimaki cutter. Even the square cuts are kind of sloppy. The corners aren't precise... when cutting big items, its not so much of an issue, but smaller fonts or really thin stroked fonts, it wont even complete the cut, or it will leave a weird corner. I've...
  18. Wall vinyl

Went and looked at the Graphitex, and it fits the bill for a project I am working on. Question for those who have tried it. The produt bulletin says its for short term applications, and that it's removable up to 6 months. How long would it stay up inside and look goodif it was meant for a...
  19. Do I have a head going bad?

Dont see much going on there. If you are getting banding, when was the last time you adjusted your media comp? (Not up to speed on roland's - but im sure there's a media comp setting in there.)
  20. Banner patching.

It's all in the value they place on the patch I guess is my gripe. I understand wanting to save a buck, but my time is not free. I dont want to give them a crappy product or overcharge to run them off, just get folks to understand that it takes us almost as much time to make a 1x8 patch as it...
