The Graphtec is direct connect to a PC running Windows XP 5.1.
I am writing this forum from a Mac... which has nothing to do with the PC running Omega or the plotter.
The driver installed is not the correct one. It only supports up to 46” and it’s a 54” machine. I’ve looked everywhere for the correct driver and have tried several... they work but they won’t go to the full 130cm cut allowance.
Thank you so very much. The old version, please... or both in case I do upgrade the PC. But the PC is dedicated to the plotter and only used for cutting. The Omega software is ancient, too.
I’ve been using this old FC4100-130 for a decade and in that entire time I’ve not been able to find the correct driver. I have obviously found some that work but none that allow me to utilize the full cutting band width. Does anyone have the PC driver?
And no, this link does not have it...
Yeah... it was a long shot. No offense intended, for sure. I’ve seen it done when the media was from a different vendor and rolled opposite from the norm. It was a big “oops” and a good laugh.
Okay... this may sound condescending... BUT, it looks exactly like what happens when you print on the wrong side of porous media. Was this roll from a company that winds the media in the opposite direction?
Nevermind. I’m an idiot... clear acrylic should work fine... I was under the impression that edge-lit acrylic was different... confusing it with Edge GLOW.
Looking for a quick turnaround for a 12x16 edge-lit acrylic sign with etched or engraved logo. We have the LED base. Any suggestions? All I have is PlaqueMaker and I’m waiting to hear if they’ll sub the edge-lit acrylic for their clear custom acrylic sign.
You say you’re printing from Illustrator. What print settings may be different. I find Illustrator has a tendency to print dark and I have o go in and check every setting to correct it.
Gorilla glue. Hey... Ya never know! Seriously though, studding them is the professional answer for any permanent drywall application.
(Our experience with 1-week-cured paint and tape wasn’t pretty).
This might sound weird, but when I’m really stumped as to what kind of a file I have, regardless of it’s extension, I open it in... MS WORD. You get pages of code but the first few lines will hold it’s true species.
