  1. Anyone done work for Image Brite ?

If it just for electronic signs? Looks like it from what I can tell, but it's a lot of things to look at on their main pages. If it for all kinds of installations, or just electronic signs?
  2. Anyone done work for Image Brite ?

You have to be a member to read that link Keith.
  3. HP latex work printing technical papers like vellum or translucent bond?

I picked up a sample book from HP at the ISA show and it's got a sample printed on "Offset Bond Paper". Looks really nice.
  4. New shop van wrap design

I'd ask "who's your target customer" to start. Who are you targeting with your vans? Are you commercial and on job sites? Are you looking for banners for the high school teams and kids birthday parties? Both?
  5. Go... Pound... Sand...

We terminated the relationship with our largest customer at the time a couple years ago. Best thing we ever did. That year, we did better than the previous year and the next year was better than that. I used to drive all over town gathering up information for quotes, signs, fonts to match other...
  6. How hard is it to take my money?

Tried to buy a laminator months ago. Called in, talked to the sales rep, he said "I'll get you some numbers by this afternoon". Never heard another word from him. I guess he wonders why we don't buy more stuff from him. I say that after having just laminated prints on the laminator we didn't buy...
  7. New shop van wrap design

I'd also recommend putting a better email address. If I understand it correctly, you're essentially using you internet provider email address. Use your domain name or get one if you don't have it. That's like putting a nice wrap on and then using the contact at suncitysigns@hotmail.com. I...
  8. New shop van wrap design

I disagree with taking the number off the vehicle. People sit behind wrapped vehicles in traffic all the time. People walk by them in parking lots, etc. What's the harm in not having the phone number? Dan's got some pretty solid numbers from actual clients that get a lot of phone traffic from...
  9. New shop van wrap design

I'm not suggesting changing the logo, I'm suggesting paying attention the chapters that say don't put too much copy on there, and put a way for them to contact you on there that they can remember. No one's going to remember an email address.
  10. New shop van wrap design

As a side note, before I printed one sq. ft of this, I'd buy Dan's book "Building a BIG small business Brand". It'll be the best money you've spent on your company name so far. I'd read that before I did anything else. It's cheap, it's so profound it'll make you realize how so many people are so...
  11. New shop van wrap design

Lose the laundry list of services and replace it with a way for someone to actually contact you. No one's going to remember the email address on the bottom of the door. Put your phone number or website on there. You're a sign company, it says so in your name. No need to tell them you make sign...
  12. Charity Logo

LOL, yeah, not quite. I'm guessing the lube part is beer. It's like a Hooters that is based around bikes and cars without the hot waitresses ;) They are actually next door to Hooters and Hooters girls will be selling the t-shirts! Yes, nikdoobs, unfortunately, some did want to stick with the...
  13. Charity Logo

Here's a few photos of the items produced. All were donated at no charge to the charity. The website is www.badlandsforbust.com. Follow along if you wish, or stop in and make a donation!
  14. HP Latex 310

One of the new ones, I think the $18,000 model prints a lot faster than the $13,000 model. You might look into that aspect of it. They had 3 models at the show, 2 were the same speed as previous models, and 1 was really fast.
  15. Charity Logo

P.S., I apologize for not responding to the other ideas. I think there are some excellent suggestions and they look perfect for the event. I wish I had the talent you guys have. I wish I had 1/10th of the talent you guys have. Thanks so much for the help. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. It's been...
  16. Charity Logo

Thanks for asking! I'm knee deep in it right now. They picked Pat's designed, moaned and groaned about how they liked their version better, but they were willing to go with it. I picked 200 t-shirts up from the screen printer on Friday, I just printed and mounted 2 4' x 6' prints for an event...
  17. Why no love for East Coast sign shows?

That's a small show, I'm talking about the big shows like ISA or SGIA. There are plenty of small shows around, that was my point, it's nothing but small shows around. If you want to go to a big show you almost have to go to Vegas next year.
  18. And that's why people don't like the cloud.....

http://mashable.com/2014/05/15/adobe-creative-cloud-down/ Yup, it's been down for over 26 hours now. Doesn't stop you from using your applications, but if you want to do some of the cloud based stuff or activate another app, you're out of luck. Of course this is the day I needed to use an app...
  19. Why no love for East Coast sign shows?

Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C. just to name a few others. They could do outside of D.C. in the Virginia side of things (like Arlington or Alexandria) and get things a lot cheaper than D.C. I thought we'd do ISA again in Florida next year, only to see the banner at...
  20. Why no love for East Coast sign shows?

I'm trying, I'm trying. Just as a point of reference, it cost us about $2,000 total to go to ISA. That's meals, travel, 3 hotel rooms. Same thing to Vegas is $5,000 not including any meals, etc. We can swing the $5,000, but when I think about things I could spend $5,000 on for the business...
