Wishing it was this simple.
The round lip of the blade holder is definitely secured in place by the black plastic clasp on the penblock mechanism. I think the movement you're seeing is the overall vibration from the whole assembly when it slams.
I've have also tried a different blade holder...
After much research, talking to tech's both from Graphtec and local shops, I've found the following:
I replaced the LED component of the Led reader/encoder strip on the pen block with a part number from an electronics vendor that matched.
Same results, slamming knife blade.
Checked my...
What blade angle are you using? I find a 45 cuts better than a 60 degree blade on any 2mil cast.
As previously mentioned
- blade depth
- cutting strip is good in those areas?
- slow down cut speed
- loose vinyl bits stuck around blade area
I don't own the machine, but would recommend download (google search) for the service manual.
It's possible you have some settings that are not default or need to be tweaked based on your blade holder/blade offset.
Give each service area a half-decent read and you might see some things...
Hi folks,
I have an older CE5000-120 that has worked flawlessly for me over the past number of years.
Out of nowhere when it runs through a cut process, every time it wants to put the blade down it does it with a slam (and noise), not smoothly like it normally would.
This is causing some of...
With the french cleat adhered the to panel, I'm guessing a high bond VHB tape should be able to hold the weight of a 4' x 8' panel?
ie. I could do an 18" or 30" french cleat per panel and so long as I've measured evenly, should be able to get them hanging nicely side-by- side.
With the lathe...
I am going to have two 4' x 8' sheets of 1/8" aluminum composite panel mounted flush side-by-side on a painted cinderblock wall.
They will then be covered with a printed vinyl mural. I am electing to install the vinyl after the panels are mounted so that I can ensure a perfect visual seam of the...
Most print media is always a lot thinner, and needs the laminate to thicken it up a little, so that general population can actually install a small decal easier.
Correct me if I'm wrong here?
If you're not laminating, I assume you'd be using a thicker mil print media?
Run 5-10 of these. Time the plotter run time, and the weeding time. Determine what you need to make on an hourly rate and convert that through your pricing of 100.
I find trying to quote small stuff like this by the square foot usually hurts me in the end. To make it realistic, I run trials...
Very much a long time lurker on here.
I was just sent a promo here in Canada by one of our distributors for $9950 cdn.
I'm new to Latex printers. Can I still run the same banner and print media as you would an eco-sol?
Do you laminate latex prints just the same/as usual as you would...
