  1. Reliable QR Code Generator?

What would be a good QR generator that allows you to alter the URL re-direct after the fact? As well, something that helps you track clicks? I know there are companies out their with a "pay for it" model. Curious if anyone's utilized this for marketing campaign tracking?
  2. Condition setting: Acceleration

Good explanation, thank you. So 1 would mean slow acceleartion - therefore on small cuts it will be more uniform and not "zip" through the cut as fast. On larger simpler objects or high volume, I can probably afford to run at 3-5 just to keep things going faster. Agree?
  3. New to me FC-9000 (metal grit roller rubbing?)

Where I'm pointing to the roller (front, is where it rubs). The silver plate is wedged a little bit right now, so it's not rubbing. Removal: I'm guessing that the main side panels come off pretty easy just from the 5 screws on each end? or is there a fair bit more to it?
  4. Suggestions Large Wall Graphic - Application Tape Question

I'd mask it personally. I can't see someone peeling a 2-3mil vinyl off a backing sheet well enough to know what they're doing. Just make sure to roll it on a core, and tell them to let it sit out from the packaging for 1/2 a day before they install it. Walls are pretty forgiving for...
  5. Condition setting: Acceleration

Searching for the life of me in the forum, online, in the graphtec manual. From the manual "How to Improve weeding ability" -Set the SPEED and ACCELERATION values as low as possible. I understand Speed, Force, Offset, but what exactly is acceleration changing in the machine? My guess is that...
  6. New to me FC-9000 (metal grit roller rubbing?)

No visible damage - plate looks flat. From what I can see, there's the one screw on the left of the silver plate, which has allowed me to slightly lift to wedge the paper under. It appears to be secured elsewhere as it doesn't move around too much. Not sure I want to be ripping this machine...
  7. Graphtec plotter cutting undersize

Is there any good rule of thumb for which GP step size to work with? Any pros/cons to running a smaller or larger one? I have familiarized myself with where to set them on both my machine and Cutmaster software.
  8. Flexi 8.5 w/ Graphtec FC-9000 compatibility?

Update: I picked up the fc9000-140. So far just learning the advanced details of it I'm able to run cutmaster4 plugins from corel and illustrator just fine for me current needs. Once I get into a print/cut workflow I'll likely just upgrade or see if I can suffice out of CM4 with crops/cuts...
  9. New to me FC-9000 (metal grit roller rubbing?)

Hey all, Just upgraded to a FC-9000-140 (it's not new, but looks/operates/sold as close to new as you can believe). Not a scratch on it, looks/feels mint. 1. My far left metal grit roller is rubbing a little bit on the metal shield. Any "proper" way to adjust this other than trying to flex...
  10. Flexi 8.5 w/ Graphtec FC-9000 compatibility?

Long story short I've been plotting on my old Graphtec ce5000 for quite some time now. The machine has bit it and I'm looking to upgrade to an FC-9000 (found a decent deal). I looked in the machine list in the Production Manager to see if I could add a FC-9000, no dice. At the moment I'm...
  11. Question Pad/Stud Mounts on Acrylic Letters

Can anyone North of the border chime-in on where to buy these pads? I seem Grimco has them (special order). I do have a shipping address in the USA, but not ideal.
  12. Finding right cast vinyl

If it were just rivets you'd be ok with a Avery 950 cast or equivalent. Poke holes and heat on rivets. It still sucks to install this film, but I've seen it as a more common material on truck installs. Even if it's full wrap, for whatever reason egress isn't always used (likely a cost thing)...
  13. Question BEST colour change wrap vinyl for double step recesses (Hyundai iLoad)

I use both ProBond and 3M Primer. For the longest time I used Probond on anything and everything, only recently have I used only 3M on 3M film... Are they the same product to a degree? I don't know. A colleague says to use the probond on every, and 3M on 3M. Meh.
  14. Question BEST colour change wrap vinyl for double step recesses (Hyundai iLoad)

I've learned/heard Avery is a little bit thinner, so may be a bit more playable and better to install. That looks like a nightmare to me - it just screams they'll be back in a year with issues, unless installed for longevity like others have said. I've worked with Hexis in limited amounts...
  15. Roland SP-540v part out, parts

Printer was sold as-is for parts.
  16. Method to back-chain a-frame sidewalk sign for wind?

I typically sell painted crezone panel/sidewalk signs. I screw on the handle and then usually install a chain half way up on the back-side so that when it opens it won't collapse on itself. It is also windy here at times and I don't want signs running away (skidding across snowy ground), etc...
  17. Roland SP-540v part out, parts

I have a SP-540v on its last legs. Was printing well until it started running into an issue where it would freeze up mid-print. Never could figure out if it was humidity/temperature, one of the boards, or the network card. Currently at a point where it won't powercycle/do a cleaning. I have...
  18. Plexiglas Standoff Signs w/ Frosted

In addition to this, if you flame polish acrylic and then wet install frost expect potential issues. I did such, and wet applied frost film with rapidtac/soapy water. The acrylic ended up with microfizzure cracks inward from the edges. I believe that because the flame polishing melts and...
  19. Graphtec CE5000-120 (Flexi) - blade drop (slamming)

There is no cross-cutter on this machine. Any vibration or movement you're seeing is from impact, or my shaky video skills :0, it's rigid and sturdy to the manual touch by hand. Still continuing to cut with it since my original post, just a little more flawed cuts that I have to clean-up by...
  20. WTB: Graphtec CE5000-120 "pen block" or parts from your cutting head

I specifically need a solenoid from the penblock, or penblock whole. Looking to see if anyone has one of these that's down from a mainboard issue, or another issue unrelated to the cut-head. Thanks in advance, please respond to this ad, or PM.
