  1. Summa S class 2 plotters, the new ones

My little Roland is getting ready for replacement, rather sooner than later, and I'm very curious about the new 2nd generation S class cutters. Only having used a D series Summe before, I have no experience with any S class cutter. But Summa in general looks to be highly regarded when it comes...
  2. Gloss Purple wrap

Oracal 970 Violet metallic gloss (code 406) wrap vinyl should do the trick?
  3. Font help please

    Thank you! :)
  4. Font help please

I need to find the font used on the words "ground zero" in this pic. But I'm not so familiar with this style of lettering. Any takers?
  5. Can you remove the side molding on Ford Transit?

I think that they are only bonded with foam tape, no holes.. I can message a friend who works at a local bodyshop, they repair and repaint these all the time. If he gets back to me I'll post the feedback. If no one else has replied in the meantime :) Edit: the answer was on this very site, case...
  6. New car

Ford sold Volvo in 2010 to chinese car maker Geely..
  7. New car

In theory yes, but the XC90 is the most unreliable and problematic car they have made for decades.. Google it and you'll find out. XC60 or 70 however, top quality cars! Living right next to Sweden, Volvos are very common here.
  8. Can you remove the side molding on Ford Transit?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye95uVPtWeM&feature=share&list=PLKGNqCJ57dsShuabSAl9Bwlq-1fACgCm1 It's made of abs plastic and is fastened with foam tape from the factory. If you look at the first minute or so of the clip this issue is addressed with a solution (I'm guessing this is for a wrap...
  9. Time for a new printer.

Should be noticeable :D Also, if your Edge 1 is anything like the one where I used to work, no more ear-piercing noises from the workings of an Edge :)
  10. weeding and cutting depth

Knife pressure depend both on vinyl and health/sharpness on knife, so no rule of thumb other than trial and error on your specific setup. A new knife blade could cut easily with 70g pressure on cast vinyl, but would maybe need 120g+ when dull. And in the end it won't cut precise no matter what...
  11. Floor mural clear question.

Oracal also have a laminate with sand/grit embedded for outdoor ground mounting (just happended to read about it yesterday while browsing a supplier catalogue). Can find the name if interested?
  12. Roland BN-20 Price and Q's

Feeling the same way about the BN20.. it's the cheapest route to be able to make outdoor prints, but also so limiting in the long run... but on the other hand I've been doing just fine with a 24" vinyl cutter for years now, was going to use it just to get going and then upgrade, but I manage...
  13. Geek Wraps - great service!

Your most used tool costs about $16.. Think about it in a larger scale, compared to other crafts like carpentry, mechanic, even a proper set of hairdresser scissors costs hundreds of dollars :) Not to think of the thousand of dollars in tools a carpenter needs to work effectively. Bargain if...
  14. New GraphicLabsTV website

I really like your videos, I think I can honestly say that they are better made than most manufacturers showcase videos. I've seen the "setting up shop" one at least 10 times :) Stealing your worktable design btw :D I've even sent the video to a carpenter friend of mine so he can help me make a...
  15. dealing with customers....

What kind of customers do you have at your place? Just random walk-ins or proper (if that is the right wording) legitimate business clients? How do you communicate with clients apart from walk-ins without identifying yourself? Just curious :)
  16. Geek Wraps - great service!

I just wanted to share my experiences with the great people at Geek Wraps for their (yet again) great products and speedy delivery! I have ordered from them twice before, and since 2010 when a member here made me aware of them by recommending their squeegees, I have used their installation tools...
  17. Different monitor setups, what do you have?

Actually now I found the 30" on a smaller webshop, the main ones did not carry it. It is priced at about $1500. http://www.dustinhome.no/product/5010483369/dell-u3011-ultrasharp-30-wide-tft-black/#intcmp=searchProvider_dacsa A friend of mine has this (or a 3-4 year older version of it) at home...
  18. Different monitor setups, what do you have?

I can get 3x Dell 24" Ultrasharp (1920x1200 ips-panel) monitors for about $1000 over here, while a single 27" Ultrasharp is almost 800. Only 30" available now over here is a NEC Multisync, at well over $3000...
  19. Different monitor setups, what do you have?

I'm in the process of designing my new office layout, and that includes monitor setup for my design computer. The screen card is capable of running triple screens if I want, and I need to decide what configuration I want to settle on. I've been running a mid-level single 27" 1920x1080 monitor...
  20. Cutting down a Roll of vinyl to fit cutter.

Have used a chop saw myself when the supplier has forgot to slit down the vinyl (I have a 24" vinyl cutter). You are through the material much sooner than it has time to heat up, no melting to worry about. Cuts are a little more ragged than if you get ready slit vinyl from the supplier, but...
