I can get a used 52" Graphtec Plotter FC7000-100 for $1750
or a brand new Vinyl Express Q-100 42" for $2400
What would you do?
Anyone better then the other?
shoot. I heard there was a way to trick it into doing it... I even heard you can trick it into going right to the edge, but u need to put masking tape down on the machine so the ink doesnt spray over the edge onto it.
What is the max width you can get the printer to go to the edges of the vinyl.
I am printing on 30" vinyl. I would like to get 29.75 but not sure how to do it. It seems to stop at 1/2 on each side.
Anyone know where I can get a replacement decal for the prismjet extra or a high res image to make a new one? I was cleaning with denatured alcohol and wiped the decal and it took the ink off.
Thanks!
Those RAID drives always confused the hell out of me too.
I am always wondering....is that other drive really doing what it is supposed too.. and will it be there if I have a catastrophic failure!?
I spoke to victor from cmykparts and he sugested I put all new full in cartridges in. So I am waiting for the two light colors that are on order.
SO once I start will all equal ink he thinks the problem with the yellow and lt cyan will be resolved.
Ok fellas. I just changed the pads on the capping station to some nice ones.
I have a full set of cleaning cartridges. should I run a complete cleaning before I do anything, or will it not make a difference?
No, I am using Mutoh inks. But I think Flame used the lava inks in it before I bought it. Not sure what was replaced after the ink was put in.. I think the capping station, dampers and the pump only. I think the lines were all the same from when he had lava ink in them.
Could it still be in...
Yes. I see ink moving. The pads are deformed and wavy.
Right after a cleaining the look just like the picture I posted.. super saturated.
I am going to put the old flat pad that look much better back on.
I just don't know what would cause the pads on the new capping station to get so...
Ok. I will try cleaning the new one first and hope the pads aren't to swollen and go back to normal.. if not I will try the old one.
I am also going to check the lines going to waste.
Then change the cartridges to be equal.
I was thinking of trying the old capping station.
flame, what was wrong with it?? is it worth a shot..or should I try cleaning the new one first and putting a full yellow cartridge in, incase of a difference of volume problem from the full lt colors?
I think it is the capping stations. But what is causing it.. thats what I have to figure out now.
I looked at the old capping stations and they looked like rainbow colored sponges.. nothing like the new ones on it now..(they looked soaked)
The girl from sign warehouse emailed me that using the two inks together -(plus) and (Ultra) - will ruin the printer!
is that true flame? You never told me the light colors were different type of ink. I would have replaced them if I new they could cause harm.. now what?
I also just looked...
Ok both capping stations look soapping wet. The one on the left is dark purple and the one on the right is darkgreen/black
The capping station was brand new, so why would this have happened?
Son of a B
Now what do I do. Do you think thats the problem?
So your saying when I started printing with the lt colors thats what is screwing things up?
Should I buy two light colors in eco ultra and see if that fixes it!?
Anyone else think that is what is wrong?
