I don't feel so bad about doing these things now that I know I'm not the only one.
The other day I took a lap around the shop looking for my olfa only to notice that I was holding it in my hand.:banghead:
I use a ton of 751 and I haven't had any problems with it(that I know of). It's really making me nervous now though. How can they call it cast if it really isn't? I remember a oracal rep at a show telling me that the only difference between the 751 and the 951 was something with the...
Don't know if anyone on here has one but Thermwood builds some high end machines. I have done work for the executives in the company and the facility is only about 10 minutes away from my shop. I doubt I could afford one but they would be my first choice.
Just make sure your making the kind of profit you do tinting windows and you should be in the ballpark. Unless your area tints a 4dr for $99.
Do great work and charge what it's worth.
I can guarantee you will be replacing it, using cheap materials that will fail is not a good way to start off your reputation. The only thing 651 will touch here is coro or a racecar, never on anything permanent, especially outdoors.
Use good vinyl that will last but never give a replacement...
I would definitely print it, your labor savings alone will make it the better option in my opinion. I doubt the ink cost will be much more than the cost of paint, could be wrong though.
I know what you mean, I did the same thing, rebranded with big plans but just never seem to find the time to work on my own stuff. Guess it's better to be busy than trying to lure in new work though right?
I have used oracal 3951 non ra and it worked really well. It's more aggressive and more of a pain to deal with when installing but it will last and it doesn't have the channels to let any water in. Most boats will look funny if you stay above the water line in my opinion. Have fun with it as...
All we're asking for is a pic or 2 to see what it looks like and how it works...pretty basic concept really just takes a little more time. There are a lot of different construction methods used in signmaking and a description isn't always enough.
Just giving you a hard time, I used a little bit of that stuff several years ago before I got started tinting. I use Suntek, Global, ASWF, and Express. Express Window Films has some good quality films at reasonable prices and the customer service is second to none. They would probably be a one...
I just did a box truck that looked like the paint was applied with a roller, maybe an airless sprayer. It's a wonder the transfer tape didn't pull off a cheap maaco job, don't ask me why I say this.
