  1. help! contour cut VersaWorks

Go into Versaworks and under EDIT, select the Queue A Settings.Under FORMAT make it .01. That's all you need. .1 will result in additional space wasted around the image resulting in an entirely new post about Versaworks wasting material LOL
  2. Large files in Versaworks

If the quality of artwork is really sharp, scale the file down and export it from Corel as an EPS and then enlarge it in Roland Versaworks. Should solve the problem.
  3. what is it worth

    Exactly! Thank's Pat!
  4. what is it worth

You gotta also look at it like this..he is probably the type of customer who will insist HIS USED machine with NO warranty should be worth MORE..but if you threw a price on a new machine at him he didnt like, he would insist on paying LESS...I dont always understand the logic..Bottom line, I...
  5. Print head please help !!

I'm a little confused here...the second pic you uploaded looks like it's fine..so is your problem resolved? Or were they uploaded in reverse order? Could be a cap top, but would need a little more information here
  6. what is it worth

Here's the deal that we work with buying used equipment from customers. It may help. We offer a $5000-$6000 trade on an SP-540V depending on condition. Now some customers may say "I could get more if I sold it myself"..which can be true, but the difference is, if you buy it from someone who...
  7. VP-540 prints slow when playing videos.

It's definitely the network bandwidth. Does this also happen if you're just playing music stored on your hard drive? I would also go into the Task Manager and see if you have all sorts of processes and applications running that don't need to be and shut them down. That can slow things up...
  8. printing photos

I know some guys who take the risk and go cut vinyls to run through their machine. When I try to suggest otherwise, I get the "no offense, but it works and it's cheaper" so for the time being, it is the thing to do for them..UNTIL all of a sudden a problem goes wrong then it usually starts with...
  9. XC540 & Versaworks

Exactly. It works in any program..Adobe, Corel, and Flexi. Whether it's an EPS or PDF it will work the same way. JasonX is right on point. Follow those steps and you're golden
  10. Sp300i printing on Reflective

There are "printable" reflectives and there are some reflectives that are generally sold in the "vinyl cutting" lineup that work perfectly fine with the Roland. Go with the Oracal or Nikkalite and you can't go wrong. PM me with any more questions
  11. gradient ?

I usually go on google..put in the color gradients I am looking for and change the image size to large. 9 times out of 10 I can get the one I want. Then I bring the hi res jpeg into Flexi and mask it or do whatever I need it to do. Try that.
  12. XC540 & Versaworks

That is correct. The same holds true for when you create them in both Flexi and Corel
  13. VersaWorks 4.0 paneling problems?

    I don't see a pic attached
  14. Versacamm reading problem

We have seen this happen on the SC-540 but never had it happen (well until now) on the VP-300. Try reseting the network card and see if that helps.
  15. coroplast is it possible?

Why not try Permovable. It will spider crack right into the concrete and give you either long term or short term durability depending on which film you choose. When you want to take it off, you'll simply need an application tape and a wire brush...
  16. Tell me this isn't true?

I am glad you guys find this both amusing and appalling at the same time. You guys deal with it with your customers and believe me..we get alot of this kind of stuff as dealers as well. One of my favorite lines is the infamous.."what's my price?"... followed up by.."you're gonna give me the...
  17. SP-300V Blowing F2 Fuse When Sub Power On

  18. Good Printable Transfer Material?

I've worked with Roland's new Heat Transfer and have had terrific results. I just got in a roll of FDC's new sample material for shirts that I am going to run some tests with. A lot of my customers work with Siser but there is other material out there called "Chemica" I believe that people swear...
  19. my dealer out of magenta!!!!

MOST suppliers don't carry what they used to but not all. Not only do I try to make sure I have more than enough of the day to day necessities that my customers use, but I also recommend that if you buy a printer, always have a second set of inks or a back up on hand at all times. When you put...
  20. Roland Warranty?????

Garcia is a great guy. Glad you got this resolved. Just seemed out of the ordinary for them. I know this is a forum and I totally get what you're saying, but sometimes it's better to give them a call. Glad it worked out for and I'm sorry you had to even deal with that. In regards to them...
