  1. SP300 Head replacement...fill first with flushing fluid?

I did ink fill while in service mode then just now one normal clean. I see LOTS of M ink in cap top bubbling down down drain tube so i guess it has ink in head?
  2. SP300 Head replacement...fill first with flushing fluid?

I just switched ribbon cables k/c to m/y and put m/y on k/c. Printed this now. I did put new dampers in m/y and visually see them all filled up with new ink. Printing test via service mode and why do i get the small nozzle test too? Should I not print test while in service mode?

Ok i just put in my new head, filled ink per service menu and printed this test. Any idea what is wrong? I out in new head rank properly. I can really use some tech advise asap thanks!
  4. SP300 Head replacement...fill first with flushing fluid?

Putting in new m/y head today. Change rank number first then install new one and run tests for alignment. Just hoping i get no issues and it is fixed! Lots to print this week.
  5. SP300 Head replacement...fill first with flushing fluid?

Ok i was even contemplating filling a new damper with flushing fluid then installing it and do the fill ink procedure. But wont hurt to fill it prior?
  6. SP300 Head replacement...fill first with flushing fluid?

Several years ago I replaced both my heads myself, and now have to do the m/y head. I watch the online video for the procedure, but I seem to remember being told you MUST fill the head first with flush fluid prior to filling it with ink so it won't clog up. I bought the syringe with...
  7. SP300 Magenta Not printing still

I still have not figured out my problem. My magenta ink does not print a good nozzle check, but with some cleaning and even manual cleaning I get it to be acceptable. BUT when I go to run a print the magenta ink drops out to maybe 20% of the nozzles printing. I have a new ink in the machine...
  8. SP 300 Magenta dropping out still....

Ok, I put new damper O ring on Magenta line, put in new wipers and the other scraper thing for the wipers, forget what its called. Did a maintenance cleaning on the heads, ran a test print and M was barely printing, then did a power cleaning and it came back almost perfect. Ran a test print...
  9. SP 300 Magenta dropping out still....

Can anyone tell me is cleaner solution the same as flush fluid?
  10. SP 300 Magenta dropping out still....

Maybe I’ll pull the m/y head off and soak it overnight in flushing fluid then reinstall it, just hate doing all the alignment/calibration again?
  11. SP 300 Magenta dropping out still....

Ugh, still issue. Pulled M line off damper, cut it about 1/4 inch and installed it again. Pushed tube on damper well, slid o ring up/down on tube (not a new ring) and screwed it back on damper. Same result test print was ok, but magenta dropped out again. Cleaning cycle magenta fills cap and...
  12. SP 300 Magenta dropping out still....

What if I put y damper/line on m head and m back on the yellow head to test if head is failing? I’d be printing magenta on yellow head nozzles and if it still fails I’d know it’s up line towards the cartridge? Just don’t want to damage the heads by switching lines.
  13. SP 300 Magenta dropping out still....

But if any air leak happens would it not get any magenta flowing back in? Kind of like a straw with a hole in the side you get no suction? Do heads fire and just squirt ink out or do they also draw/suction the ink into the damper so there a reserve in it? Seems like I can get the damper...
  14. SP 300 Magenta dropping out still....

I'd do another small head soak then cleaning then print a test print and show how the nozzles come back.
  15. SP 300 Magenta dropping out still....

I put New Caps in and today New Dampers. Last week I thought it just may be the caps getting old and my heads starting to block up so put the new damps in just now, rand a couple cleaning cycles to see/verify that the ink was pumping and it did till the dampers, I did not pull any ink thru with...
  16. SP 300 Service Mode Help

I have done that to clean heads/soak several hours but when I try to print it usually lets one color back bleed into the damper and I have to print a bit to clear out the wrong color. But it usually prints fine after that. Is there a way to not have a color bleed back into the wrong side of the...

Pic of cap showing they do drain the excess inks.
  20. SP300 cleaning cycle/heads

So after a bit of not using my SP300, but running cleaning cycles my Magenta is dropping out, got dampers coming in a few days, replaced caps today. Nozzle test looked rough, did a maintenance cleaning, ran test again, looked bad. Did another cleaning cycle, looked a little bit better but I...
