  1. Shop truck critique

Not sure where you got that from but yes currently the trucks are lettered. And we are asking for opinions on the partial wrap design and our branding.
  2. Shop truck critique

We are looking for opinions on a few things. First off we are thinking about wrapping one or both of our shop trucks, to bring in some more wrap jobs. Currently both trucks are nearly identical (see photo 1). We are happy with the current layout and it has been working great for us for the...
  3. Printing/Wrapping with CLEAR

Just apply it dry can't see it being to hard on a f250.
  4. Suggestions Sticker : 2 faces print 1 face stick for windows

As Marlene said ... but it's easier said then done. We've always struggled to get good alignment on double sided decals. Always end up applying regular one sided decals to both sides of the glass.

  7. Letter track attachment?

Sorry I wasn't very clear with what I was asking. I am ok with the thickness of the the letters and the gap from track to substrate. What I should have said... the letters are 6" tall, should I make the distance between the rails 6" or should I give them a little wiggle room, and make that...

Ok so 1/16th oversized holes. Thanks Gino How about clearance for letters keep it tight or give a 1/16th of wiggle room?
  9. Letter track attachment?

We don't do a lot of letter track, but have an order for 4- 8'x4' polycarb panels with letter track. the sign we are doing is existing and it is 3 backlit cabinets stacked on top of each other ... the bottom 2 have been disconnected and the customer want to replace the faces of the bottom 2...
  10. Taping Window perf?

This is short term. The customer has been informed about the lack of laminate. The reason I want to tape is so we don't stretch the vinyl and so the top doesn't curl over when we have 15' of it in mid air with no backer. Also I do not want to tile so we can keep install time down. I am thinking...
  11. Taping Window perf?

Currently have a job that includes 27.5' x 44" of window perf on each side of a city bus. I am planning on printing on one peice and masking and having 2 of us installing it. Any problems taping unlaminated perf if I give the print 24hrs to dry? (Roland eco sol max ink, Orajet 3676)
  12. Weird Banding in certain colors?

Ok so I printed in uni-directional with good results. I then checked the bi-directional settings and 4 out of 16 were off slightly, I made the adjustments and tried to print the same test file in bi-directional. The print got a little better. I then went into service mode and did a bunch of test...
  13. Weird Banding in certain colors?

The dampners are original to the machine, 5 years old. Have had a tech in here recently working on the machine (different issue), tech said the dampners are fine. But I guess we can't completly rule out the possibility that they aren't. Will try uni-directional shortly, but have had similar...

  16. Weird Banding in certain colors?

I have run into this a few times, I seem to get strange banding in certain colors. This time it's pantone 7680c or R 82, G 49, B 120. Our printer is a Soljet XJ540 Pro3. Feed cal is good and heat settings are ok, there is also black being printed in the same file and has zero banding and looks...
  17. color matching

I did try that out yesterday, only thing I had trouble with was determining the lab values for the color I was trying to reproduce. I ended up searching on google for the lab values of burgundy which got it close but still not right.
  18. color matching

Ok and then if you don't have a spectrometer or a good grasp on profiling.
  19. color matching

I am trying to print a matching color to 7125 burgundy. My process is... I take my sample color provided (in this case a piece of cut vinyl) and pick the closest match on a printed color chart on the wall. I then try to determine what adjustment to make to the color( more black, less yellow...
