Thanks for the quick reply. I had sent the files now to another member and that should take care of that issue.
If there is more imput onto how I can do this in the future with Illustrator, I would still love to hear how so I can do this without bothering other.
How would you import into Illustrator? I see an export option there but no import or is this what they have to do when they save the file?
If all else fails can someone let me email them this file and have you save in AI or ESP?
PM with your email if you can.
I use a converted CJ500 and ecosol max inks. That link above is a good start and the gen banner material is one that I found to be one of the best ones for a lot but color is not perfect yet when needing to color match a logo or photo.
I make my own profiles and have made a few that should get...
I never had a customer send a Corel file up untill 1 week ago and it would not open in Illustrator (unable to open error) even though Corel show up in the list of files to open.
Today I have my 2nd Corel file but at least it opened as a white box, but nothing else. Can this be done with...
Someone in error may have hit pump up or change ink set.
Remove the two pump lines from the captops. (should be the white lines that go to the pump) Once you have removed these from the captops there will be no actual waste of ink. Just let the pump run it's timed amount (about 1 min or so)...
The biggest thing is what ink you plan to be using. I would suggest using Rolands EcoSol Max inks, not because of the profiles from Roland but because I have some made profiles with that ink. Their ink does not dry up in the heads near as easily as other 3rd party inks might and in the long...
An easy way out is to just pull the drain lines off the cap tops. Pull both off and then let the printer pump the pump for a couple min. and follow the panel info. As long as the drain lines are off the captops there will be no waste of ink and no need to swap carts or replace carts etc. and...
For ink to just drip from the heads, you would have to have an air leak on that damper or a crack in the internal area of the head or the nib the damper sets on.
If you were to remove the damper off one of the heads, that head would drip out ink with no vac seal. First thing to try would be to...
That is not true as mine still reads the marks. The odd time you may get one that just won't read but I tried going over the mark then with a black marker and that worked. I Did not need to fill the mark exact to the outer edge but just fill the inner area and it seemed to help the eye pick up...
Not having to apply a clear is not so much saving the small cost of the clear but more its the time saved that I find a benifit. I do use the sheet cut but I find I need to grab the left edge of the media (where the blade starts the cut off) and pull it tight for the start of the blade cut and...
I have since replaced heads in that printer, as they were due for a change, but have not printed too many larger canvas on that media as of late. I tend to use the waterbased printer for most of the canvas art stuff and the solvent for the photo stuff. I have one to do now so I will test it out...
There are times when the Rip program (Flexi) may change the usb port settings. In Production manager you will see your printer listed on the left most side. Double click on it to bring up the tabs with how the printer is set up. 2nd tab, mine is on USB Printer 0. I use a USB to serial...
3651 and 651 might be the same product (cal vinyl), just the 651 being used more for cutting is not rolled in a perfectly clean environment so there may be contaminants when being rolled and thus show up when printing. I use 751 cast often to print on and most times is not an issue. If you are...
This is my take on the CJ 500. With the heat strips in the back platten and another set in front will allow the media to warm up as it gets close to the print area. Once it prints if the media is warm enough the ink will soak in a bit and not pool or look grainy. Of course profiles will also...
The first pic is looking better. On my test the black was more the issue with it bleeding too much with the profiles I sent you. You could just drop the black ink limit a bit on its own and see what you get.
Ink limits are read in the test prints on my I1 and on a particular media you may...
