  1. Transparency issue.

won't let me rasterize, says it exceeds the maximum that can be rasterized
  2. Transparency issue.

So I have some gradients and transparent pieces in the design, and if I export them as a .eps to print and cut on a roland, I get this error message about spot colors and transparencies. So I try to flatten the transparency and then it messes everything up. I've done this before, but now I can't...
  3. All this talk of bikes..... let's see yours.

Hmm... I'm slacking... Couldn't find a picture of just my bike, had to include the truck I guess.. Something to work on in the spring! Just your typical Stock GSXR600k7 all stock, still no mods.. Love it though.
  4. Jesse KILLS IT

I LOVE BIKES. Jesses bike is really badd@$$ looking, regardless of the "stuff people have been building for years" still a great bike. I voted Jr. Bike. Its different and a different kind of bike. And Sr. Well for a "bike build off" I disagree with his choice of snow machine... however, say...

  7. Marathon Logo

I was going with the running idea on that one, Maybe it needs to be more visible, but the "orange toe" is supposed to be the head of the runner which is made up of the outline of the barefoot. Kind of abstract.
  8. Marathon Logo

Here's a logo I'm working on for a marathon. Theres a competition on campus and the winner receives $1000 scholarship. If I don't win, it would still be nice to have a good logo in my portfolio. It is for the Clarence Demar Marathon in NH. Because it is a competition, the guidelines were vague...
  9. WOW, as in WOW, ever have a gun pulled during a job interview????

I agree, regardless of how informal your interview was, that shows a bad judgment. When I got my Concealed Carrying Permit, lots of the things were that no matter what, you don't pull it out unless you intend to use it in the appropriate way. (CT is much more paranoid than Texas, but still)
  10. Good script font to use

ahh yes.. that does have a little bit of grunge to it... (side note) this is why I love this place.. I can even get help with class projects haha
  11. Good script font to use

Haha, I do know this, and I'm more interested in this as a portfolio piece rather than the grade (but with a good piece comes a good grade) I will have to take some time and decide which one I can work with. I need to start building my font library up anyway...
  12. Good script font to use

wish some would have some student prices! They're such great fonts.
  13. Good script font to use

****This is a Typography project for school**** The objective of this project is to create an accordion booklet using a song lyric or quote and design it typographically. I'm using a lyric from SOJA-Rest of My Life. I downloaded this font for "rough draft use" From Dafont.com.... I...
  14. InDesign CS5 to CS3

I guess the .idml is "InDesign Markup Language" which you can supposedly open with CS4 but not CS3
  15. InDesign CS5 to CS3

you can export a cs5 file to an idml and open in cs4, then export as an idx or indx (forget which one) *from what i read online anyway. I don't have cs4 so... Not sure why they make this so difficult...
  16. InDesign CS5 to CS3

Can anyone that has CS4 convert a file for me? Theres no way to go from CS5 to CS3 without CS4.. crazy process but would love it if someone could help me out.
  17. Adding and modifying anchor points in illustrator

while your drawing something. say point A and B. click and make an arc. then click point B again and it will remove one side of the handle I think this is what you mean
  18. Anyone doing any letterpress?

I'll be going back there for sure. Such a fun process and everything about the environment is awesome
  19. Anyone doing any letterpress?

Being a graphic design student, and in a history of graphic design class, we got to visit a small, local letterpress shop. I have to say it was quite the experience, and I noticed that he had a very small letterpress that he used when he got started and made money doing business cards... here...
  20. what to do?

The type on the bottom explaining what the company does could use some work. Seems a bit too much, too big and competes with the logo and "truck service" and the phone number. Maybe try to use the same font as the phone number, in a light form. and make it a bit smaller.
