If it's available in your area- I use 10mm Coroplast often in place of MDO for site/ political signage faces with great results. I get a couple of 2x4" stringers across the back to support it if need be and it's a done deal. Granted the posts are painted and the auger doesn't hit hardpan it's a...
I have used a Lind Sign Spring system in the past for a 20 x 20' - similar situation to this, not completely exposed but outdoor/ covered suspended between a building and and post. They are super easy to work with and the product is top notch...
Friends don't let friends ruin perfectly good cars with this tacky nonsense. If someone asked me to make these I'd have to politely decline- I wouldn't want my name associated with this abhorrent "design".
At that size I would try to talk the customer into some sort of support rail. You're going to want to do a lot of screws or bolts as well to keep it affixed to the posts. Still would for sure suggest an ACM product over PVC- it really has a tendency to warp and gets brittle over time.
Seconding a truly rigid substrate- my go to would be ACM- at least a 6mm. Would there be any cross supports along the 8' side to stabilize it? If it's only meant to be temporary I would go with mesh banner.
Or in the rare occurrence they feel confident enough to strip and lay their own vinyl- I will cut it for them.. as I shake my head.
Did I tell them about ghosting? Yes. Even if you flip it over? Yes. Do they believe me? No. Can you tell when it's illuminated? Sure can. Do they come back for a...
Agree with Uncle Bun. I have never had issues using a cast acrylic (2447) with 3m 3630 translucent cut vinyl. Have signs I drive by that are 10 years old and still look great. If you can avoid digital printing this is the way to go.
This is the coolest thing I have seen in a while. I've been doing it by hand and this totally streamlines the process. Thanks so much for the resource, Cheers!
Hey there- have you ever given this a go? It's helped me out a lot in the past. Also looks like the Kearning is just smashed together.

Hey all- new here but long time lurker. We are rocking an R2000. Have an order for customized white non glare ADA signs which we intend to flatbed print to first, CNC to shape and then apply tactile and braille. Any suggestions on how to protect the printed portions? It is not the entirety of...
