I'm not concerned about losing out on lettering race cars...in fact I have vowed to retire from doing them, but I do still have a few customers that like my "old school" ways and are willing to pay!
I just wondered how much this style appealed to a group of my peers
I have been lettering race cars for over 25 years for this "team". Back in the day when we were "young" we did some nice "clean" paint-lettering-stripping jobs on the cars. Of recent (we're older now) it's hang a one color body (mostly black ones) on it and here you go. I have continued to give...
I tried to retire from race car stuff, but some customers won't let me. Not the best photos yet but this is all the farther away you could get in their shop.
This is from the Signs2banners web site:
"We use high quality 30-mil magnet sheet with a smooth white printable surface. Suitable for vehicle/truck door signage, it also can serve as temporary construction site or real-estate signage. Vehicle magnets are laminated for free unless otherwise...
This question was asked on facebook by a local racer...these are actual responses...I did not alter them in any way other than the icons next to some of them.

I personally think your logo doesn't lend itself to being turned like that, for me it looks like a sign that has had a fastener come loose and has fallen on one side. Don't get me wrong I get what you're trying to do I just don't think it works with your logo/design.
It depends upon whose "official" 8 ball rules you go by

I am having some printing done for a VERY finicky customer. Most of the lettering I do for him is cut vinyl, I'm trying to get the print colors as close as possible to the Oracal 751 colors i use. I design with Signlab9 and use the Oracal color palette. The colors that export out and are sent to...
Didn't mean to hijack this thread...
Not for these people...that would be both doors...2 or 3 colors. As I posted in another thread they advertise stock car numbers - 2 color convex cut vinyl for the roof & both doors $30
This is just another lovely thing the lettering industry needs. It's bad enough that there are so many "sign maker / graphic artists / hobbyists" around today producing crap let's add another easy way to make more crappy looking stuff that you can't read! (by the way this idea is not that...
