You said the walls were painted and had 2 weeks to cure.
What kind of paint? Latex or Oil? I know latex takes a long time to cure even though to the touch it dries faster than oil. Not for sure but something like 6 months for latex.... someone else can chime in here.
Do you know how long the...
The method I use was posted on 101 a long time back so I can't remember to whom the credit should go to but here it is.
I don't score the fold area but do have a board cut 2 1/8" wide and that is my guide width. I lay the banner face down and mark a solid line 2 1/8" from the edge of the...
Very good point Jill...........
As I look down at my business card and read "Canvas Giclee, Art Prints, Banners, Banner Stands, Sign's & More"
Now off to find the white out...........
For Roland CJ,SC 500 or FJ 42,52
If you get contamination in the heads (different color in a head than should be)
1 Check the captops and see if the filter is bumping up and touching the heads. This will cause a draw and can contaminate the others head colors. This can also cause the ink to...
If your lines don't stay full of ink and run back to the carts from the dampers:
1 Check the damper to make sure it is seated tight.
2 Check the oring under the brass nut as well that the nut is tight.
3 If you attach a syring to the line direct from where the brass nut would connect to...
If you get heads dropping out and not recharging:
1 Check drain lines as they may be getting plugged. Remove the line from the capping station and force cleaning fluid through the line to the drain bottle with a syringe. Watch for pressure when you do this as if there is a blockage you can get a...
If you get dropout after printing a portion of a print and the head does not recharge check this first:
1 make sure the clear lines that run from under the captops are clear and not blocked. Either remove to check or try to blow air through by connecting a syringe to the end that connects to the...
I'm going to be a :threadand ask this:
I know a taped hem will not stand up to a lot of heat and can let go in time. Compared to a sewn hem with grommets and a taped hem with grommets, is the taped hem grommets going to be any weaker than the sewn hem? Unless they put another fabric in with...
I am getting a similar thing where it does not matter what is being printed, but my one waterbased CJ gets a bit of dropout (not sure what color is causing this) for about 1 cm or 3/8 of an inch, it leaves a lighter area. And it goes back to printing normal after that. The yellow cart was...
First thing is to make sure that the clear lines are not plugged. They are the ones under the captops that go over to a small rectangular box on the right side of the capping station. All 3 colors Y,Lm,Lc would most likely drop off all at the same time if they used equal amount of ink in the...
Do a quick "Search" and use "service mode" for your title. I think there was one on your printer. You do some other key pattern then the all three together. I think it was : D,R,L,U R,D,L then all three L,D,R and power on.
I was just going to say that........ other than that I would think your banners or files printed with the black may have used more of a CMY combo to get the black and not as much just 100 K. Or you have your drain bottle recycle back into your black cart...... the stuff looks black.... might...
One thing you can try is to print a photo or a bunch of colors and then look at it. Then open photoshop and illustrator with that photo or file and change the view mode and see if one looks closer to what you printed. You still won't be profiled but you might see a little closer what you get...
I am by far not the best one to talk about color management but here it goes.
If you print with Roland inks then the Roland profiles should give you accurate color when you print. What you see on a monitor may be close but if you don't have a tool to profile your monitor you may not see the...
Thankyou for sharing that. That works great for making a mask to use on any file and works fine for Illustrator CS3. Better to teach a man to fish than just give em one.........I will feast on this tip for years to come...
When you first put in a new head it can take a few cleaning cycles to get the heads to all fire perfect. Yes they should all be perfect but the odd time I have had one or two nossles not fire right away and a week or so down the road they open up and work. I have one on the waterbased printer...
Do you mind sharing a bit of final info on how you got this to print so nice.
After you pieced your photo together, what was the size of the photo at the 72 dpi? (ie: 28" x 8" ???)
I have a wall mural to try to do with an old (looks to be a copy of a print pieced together) of the town taken...
When you start adjusting the heads by loosening that small screw holding the heads in place and then moving that black bent up bar in front of the heads, make sure you have a magnifying glass to read the test prints. You should be able to get them lined up almost exact. More than a 1/2 line...
