I have about 100 of these to make for a customer - it will just be cut vinyl. They won't budge on design as we are matching something they have. However...is there an easy way to lay this out in Flexi or AI (like an offset function or something)? Aside from typing and manually typing and adding...
That's interesting that you were told they were two different things - I was taught that it was one and the same. Actually - I was told that increased saturation is even better because it maintains the color during the daylight as well, while still illuminating at night. With a double-strike...
Any cast would do. If you are able to remove the rivets, then any intermediate will do. I use 3M 180 because it conforms to the rivets without tenting. If you can remove them, 40c will work just fine.
I go against the grain on this too...I usually do print on clear media for backlit signs. Not sure if this will help since I have the L360, but there isn't a "double-strike" feature that I know of, but there is a heavier ink saturation which is the same thing. Do you RIP everything out of flexi...
It was like this even before i reseated the cables. I always let it power off for a while before doing anything electrical. I had actually swapped two of the flex cables to see if it was that electrical issue, but the same problem was present (just in a different spot). You can see in the...
While I can't speak to the technicality of it, this logically makes sense. If the thermistors were faulty, i'd see errors in both print heads. Unfortunately the HP tech and myself both think I'll need a new head, but it won't hurt to try soaking it for a while first and hope to get lucky. Sure...
Does anybody know how to soak a printhead on this machine? A tech suggested I try this as a last ditch effort being getting a new print-head. How can I leave a printhead flush-soaked rag against the printhead?
I had asked a service tech about it, but they said there's only a known black and magenta issue. I'll see if there's a new Cyan one, but one Cyan printhead is printing beautifully. I appreciate the offer, but I think the part number for FB550 heads is CQ114-67019.
thanks for the help!
Assuming there's no printhead strikes or jams, how long will a printhead on the HP FB550 last? My number 4 head (cyan) is a piece of work and isn't firing a metric crap ton of jets. A tech saw a picture of the prime bars and jet health and thought the flex cable may not be plugged in all the...
I wrapped my fridge in a brushed aluminum vinyl - looks great. I wrapped the ugly brown tile in my shower 3 years ago with a marble print using LX480mC - no defects or anything to this day and still holds up.
Yikes - try printing those solid bars much larger. Crop the image in Onyx if needed to just those bars, then make them 3-5ft in length. See if that duplicates the errors at all?
I get what you're saying. I print until my heads are just about dead and doing cleanings/alignments won't fix it anymore. I've actually gotten over 10k ml on some heads (the tech laughed at me when I told him this but was still wow'd when he saw the print quality).
When the tech had me do some...
I had a head that was new with only 150ml put through it and 0 nozzles not firing on drop detector. However, the head that was shipped to me was already out of warranty and the tech deemed that the problem. I got a new printhead and it started printing great. Check if any are past their warranty...
I hate the idea of sqft pricing for exactly this. I'm on the 3M website and people always call saying "we have 25sqft of vinyl and are paying $65, when can you do it?" 25sqft on a flat drywall or 25sqft wrapping a fender are two very different animals. We charge based on how long we think...
I was told by my HP rep to use Denatured alcohol, not ISO. This eats right through the ink without damaging the belt, but the length of time the ink has been cured does affect it. I once printed the the wrong file on a 2x3 sheet of ACM, poured some denatured on it and you can watch the ink...
