I never use Avery after a bad experience but I doubt either 3M or Avery would recommend or stand behind mixing brands.
Different vinyls react to heat differently...even if they are the same brand you can run into problems if the print/lam are not designed to go together...
Look a bit different but mine is same basic layout, I like the take up roller and how its stacks more vertically so its a lot shallower in depth and takes up less space than the Royal Sovs...mine also came with extra rods and a cheap but still functioning compressor.
Got a Chinezium "Auto-Laminator" from TG Graphics up here that I like way better than any of the Royals Sovs I have used...it is quite a bit shallower in depth (stand a bit more upright), air powered and has a better take up roller...
That being said TG just sold to Spicers up here so not even...
I have a Roland VG2 and dont print mesh banner... but I did have problems with 18oz blockout banner hitting the head...
It would start well but as the banner heated on the print heater area it would expand and gather at the outside wheels and form a tunnel near the edges...the tunnel would...
Screenshot the font and use an online font finder...you will be able to find the font faster yourself rather than posting here and waiting for other sign professionals to take time out of their day to find it for you and respond to your post.
All vehicle graphics on Roland VG2 and VG3.
Only ever a couple head hits over 5-6+ years on the VG2...Once with thick banner material that puckered when warm (turned heat off for banner and it doesnt pucker and prints great) and once with misaligned feed roll I didnt catch that slowly built a...
Glad to hear it, redoing a 100 trailers almost killed our competitor 25+ years ago.
Avery SW900 series might feel thick if that is all you have ever used....but you just have to pull up the vinyl spec sheets to show Avery SW900 is a 3.2 material while 3M 1080/2080 is a thicker 3.5 that doesn't...
I did some posters for a friends Roller Derby team...
Apparently even "warriors" has a racist connotation now? so they wanted to change the name/logo as many of their members are very LGBT, friendly and inclusive
Not my prob and sometimes I spend extra time on something because I like the...
Last I remember doing is camo wrapping a ninja...To do a good job you will likely need as many of those parts off the bike if possible...
Fenders hard to do on table, almost impossible to do well with forks in way...might be able to do under seat sections with seat/saddlebags off...
for the fuel...
What vinyl is that?
Kinda weird its peeled off more in the middle...usually stuff starts at the corners??
Could be getting downward swinging car wash brushes as it goes over roof and as the long swinging brushes fly down over the sides they are working away at the top of the material...might be...
Only touched Avery vinyl once in 25+ years since their red fell off close to 100 Laidlaw trailers done by another company in the area when I first started...
Used 3M IJ180 for all truck/trailers/boats with 7+ years road life and cleanly removable when done...
To be fair I had one customer insist...
I use a handheld metal shear or concrete shear for thicker stuff...you lose a 1/4 on the cut line but both edges are crimped and the smoothest I have seen on ACP...you can rundown a clamped straight edge or even do longer curves...
Got a Roland but the only two instances of Color Drift I experienced were
1- Clogged Orange capping station wasnt keeping orange head primed
2- Tried to "Kramer" an almost empty yellow ink cartridge and didnt notice till too late a warm grey I was printing had went cold.
I have never found any templates I would trust to fit areas like that very well...I would end up setting the shape up myself from rubbings or pics if I didnt want to use knifeless tape...
Setup a paint mask to help a company restore an old Canadian Fighter Jet with a Mako Shark Mouth graphic on the front but it was all painted.
They brought me in, I could install the mask as long as I was careful with my knife (basically by not really using it if possible) but regs said their...
