May have a bad damper....check also ink line on the damper side see if it's tight also make sure damper seating tight on print head stem.

It seems to me you might have vacuum problem,, check to see if all the dampers and ink lines well seated, after that put the unit through head cleaning a few times...

It is possible that the wiper is not seating all the way dawn...or it's the wrong size...

If it's too much ink stays in the capping the ink lines are not draining,,, need to push some cleaning solvent through the lines using a syringe, you may have to play by pulling and pushing the solvent so that it will loosen up the clogging, to have the ink flow again.,.

Service Code on the Cj-500 SC-500 and some of the older Fj's are Up Left Right Down after that hold down the same keys and push the start button to turn on the printer, it should put you in Service Mode it may take a few times to get this just right.

Try to do print head alinement, after that do print/cut adjustment where you can adjust the Feed and Scan movement of the cutter. I had this problem before and the Scan and Feed adjusting did the job.. It take a bit of time cause you have to the settings in small increments .05 or less.

Few things that you can do...after you push the clean button on the printer take a look if enough ink being dispensed into the waste bottle if no ink or some air bobbles coming out it means the ink lines either clogged up or you may need new ink pumps. Also check to see if too much ink stays in...

I have an SC-500 uses the DX2 head type capping station and I use the screen with my cap top,, however I leave one layer of the foam in the cap top,, only remove the top layer of foam and replaced it with the screen. It keeps the foam in check so that it wont swell up and keeps the heads...

I do,,, sometimes have to reset the USB port to allow printer and computer communication. Make sure the same printer shown in Production manager and the Rip and Print folder and that the USB port you using is shown in the Rip folder when you click under Properties...

It looks to me your print head is set too low, may also need cleaning also may need to replace the wiper..

I did go into print&cut adj, the scan is set at 0.0 and so is the feed.. I will try all the above recommendations and see what happens. thanks,,,

Looks like you are running out of ink,,,check dampers, do a test print, also the clear skinny tubs on your capping station might be plugged up.

Check see if the yellow damper has enough ink in it, also using a syringe pull some ink through the capping station..
