Depends what you're trying to make with it... we have both the FlashForge Creator Pro and a Wanhao D7. They're both good machines using two differing styles of printing.
Yamaha used to have a site called Paper Craft which had a lot of their vehicles on it... ready to print and assemble. This was near 20 years ago and it's been offline for a while, however there is an archive available here: http://familybusyness.com/yamaha-papercraft/
Lucky for me I manage to...
The 801 is an excellent machine. Quality is great and speed is insane. If you can stick with pre-cut blanks, you're right... a fully featured finisher isn't needed and a cheap(ish) matrix remover is all you need to produce thousands of labels a day.
Yep, LFP is the way to go:

It accounts for every drop that exits the heads, cleaning cycles included. Onyx won't do that, and Onyx can only have a rough guess at ink calculations in comparison.
You can setup all of your ink...
Very little that goes wrong on these machines (apart from current ink supply issues in some areas).
Get a current nozzle test and check that it's clean. In 3.5 years our S80600 still has zero deflections and we've just had our first nozzle go bad over the Xmas break, but impossible to notice in...
As Pauly says, no pixellation if it's all vector. If you are importing any raster elements, don't flatten or re-rasterise those layers to a lower resolution and Illustrator will keep the original resolution data and will use that during print.
Ink dropping out of the head will be a blocked filter just above the heads (the round ones approx. diameter of a quarter) so yes replace that and you should be back in business.
So so many options...
Have a look here for a quick guide to printers:

You'll need to back it up with a finisher of sorts that will laminate, cut, weed and rewind the job.
"Suitable for use with hot-melt roll laminators able to process OPP laminating film - check your laminator for compatability."
You're trying to use hot laminate film. Unless you are 100% sure you have a hot roll laminator (not just a heat assist model) my bets are on this being the issue.
What...
Obviously not Océ engineers then. Service bulletin says you have to long flush, their software is configured to enforce a long flush... I think you're going to have to long flush.
What version of Onyx are you running?
I've never had this issue happen in either 10.2 or 12.2, however it does happen occasionally in 21.
Haven't been able to fully resolve it yet, so I will copy the cut file to an older machine running 12.2 and cut the job from there.
I think it's happening...
