  1. 700W owners: White alignment problems?

I had a feeling it was something like this! We’re already at minimum, so bad news for me!
  2. 700W owners: White alignment problems?

We are using choke where we can, but we’re printing pretty intricate details, so we often don’t have a couple of pixels to play with. I forgot to mention there is a predominant tendency for the white to move left as the print advances, compared to CMYK. Can’t quite figure that one out.
  3. 700W owners: White alignment problems?

Are there any HP 700W owners that have this same problem? Our white ink never quite lines up with CMYK when printing white underflood or overflood. It’s perfect when printing spot. And it’s not off in a predictable or consistent way. Generally, the middle of the print is fine, but the edges...
  4. SAi license scam

Oh, I can answer that. SAi says it’s not a cloud service. I said “but it’s in the name… your site is saicloud.com”, and I was told “no, that’s just the delivery method”. Huh?
  5. SAi license scam

I don’t know why it matters what you think a lawyer would agree with. The $199 charge is arbitrary. Their own website describes the product as having “no hidden fees”. This is a lie. Allowing the license transfer beyond the number of allowed uses is deliberate trickery. It was never laid...
  6. SAi license scam

None of that is in question. They have a working feature in their software that allows you to do it, and it violates their own terms. It doesn’t stop you after six tries. It’s not how any other software works. How would you like it if you installed a package that allows you to copy and...
  7. SAi license scam

I doubt anyone would agree that you should be charged for everything you don’t know in terms of service. I also don’t see the $199 charge in there.
  8. SAi license scam

So I've been moving my license back and forth to do some work at home, and SAi has allowed this for months. Today, my copy woudn't work on any computer, and they said I have to pay $199 to unlock it. I think the honest thing to do is simply not allow me to detach the license after my limit is...
  9. XY Segmented?

It reads the registration marks on all sides, but it turns out if you don't have extra ones on the side, then it won't read the extra ones on the top and bottom. I really need it to just read 6 marks, 3 on top and 3 on bottom, so it is a little frustrating that the feature just doesn't work.
  10. XY Segmented?

I’m using Cutting Master 4 and 5, and trying to make use of XY Segmented Type 2 registration marks. Seems that no matter what I try, it ignores the additional registration marks and treats it as a 4 mark job. Anyone else have this problem?
  11. FC-9000

Thanks for this! I kind of prefer that it's the printer's fault. I can use more registration marks, and the Graphtec can compensate. If it's the Graphtec's fault, additional registration marks won't help at all. Thanks for sharing this, as I will now refocus on the HP. It has the same sort...
  12. FC-9000

Ah, okay. Sineheremd: never done that. Is it just one crosshairs? Or multiple printed at different areas? Attila: I have tried less pressure, but I will slow it as well. I am certainly using cheap stock. I’m only using the FC9000-75. I don’t know if it’s possible to use 3 rollers.
  13. FC-9000

I’m having an issue with cut alignment. I can get perfect alignment on the left and right side, but the center is cutting just a little too high. Any theories?
  14. 700W color tests - Everything is opposite!

I know you’re getting sick of hearing from me, but in today’s session, I printed CMYK color charts and observed that: 1) 4 color CMYK gives smoother looking colors than 6 color CMYKLcLm, in print mode with 16 pass 110 density. 2) Unidirectional mode looks worse than bi-directional when testing...
  15. 700W Take-up configuration

Hmm… If it’s for print side in, I can see how it would work in either location.
  16. 700W Take-up configuration

It looks like my take-up is assembled differently than shown in the manual. Was this some kind of update to the design? You can see the silver bar at the bottom of mine was shown to be in front of the suppy roll in the manual. My printer doesn't even have hardware up there to hold it.
  17. 700W and print modes

Thank you! Is this one 1200 x 1200? Referring to the 18p6c200 found within the stretchable textile media.
  18. 700W and print modes

I opened that 18p stretchable preset in SAi PM, and it only goes up to 600dpi... Do you think this is just a RIP software problem?
  19. 700W and print modes

Thank you, balstestrat! You’ve given me so many answers I couldn’t find elsewhere :). Yes, I read that white spot uses both white heads, so it relies on alignment of both heads, but UF only uses one white head, so logically it should be a bit more crisp. I hope they add a 6c+white preset with...
